Brian, this is an awesome video, direct to the point. Because of that I was capable of replacing the rear shocks on my W164 yesterday in record time! Had to borrow an electric impact for the lower bolt, but everything else was a piece of cake. Thank you for your help.

gardz says:

Great video. Just made my job easier!

Anastacio says:

Thanks a ton, after searching for half a day this was the closest DIY I could find for my 2012 GL550. Not exactly but very close enough. Thanks again.

DON Dino says:

Hey buddy do you have a video on how to remove the rear springs?

Matt Seals says:

Wow cuz this is great work! Congrats and keep it up.

Paul Adams says:

Thanks for this video. Made this job in my garage much easier. Have you done a similar video for the W164 front shock/strut replacement? If so, where is it?

shwndh says:

This is just ridiculous! All that work just to get to those two bolts. Total BS! And the shocks fail at like 60k miles so you have to change them out.

Awesome tutorial though. Love the way it's just straight to the point.
