Nice work, but you can save a ton of time by knocking this out without having to remove the knuckle from the vehicle.

Simply undo the shock absorber, and either the upper most control arm, or the lower most (my preference). This will give the assembly a ton of free range of movement. Undo the hold down clips for the brake shoes but leave them sitting there loosely. Push the axle inward an inch or two, and now you have more than enough room to get an e-torx with an extension on the back side and undo the 4 bolts that secure the bearing to the knuckle.

This saves you the time and annoyance of having to deal with those control arms, parking brake cable, and parking brake shoes.

Question: if we’re going with aftermarket, can’t we simply replace just the bearing and hub as a unit so we don’t have to drop the suspension? This process is removing old bearing and pressing in new one using same hub, correct?

Getting the inner race off the hub is always the hardest part of replacing a pressed bearing. Thank you for showing an easier way
