I hope that you have recovered well from covid, Keith. Perhaps you can help me and others (this seems to happen quite a bit, based on what I've seen in forums) by suggesting a solution for my current problem on this. My original sensor was reading 185F, I had error codes P0073 and P0072, and the AC was not working well. I tested the sensor outside the car and its resistance was 2.8-2.9KOhm. A new sensor that I ordered from Amazon (supposedly OEM, it does have the Mercedes logo on it) was also tested and it showed 2.8-2.9KOhm as well. Both tests were done at the same time, with the same temperature in the room, of about 73F. I installed that new sensor but that did not fix the problem. I tested the sensor's two-wire connector with a PowerProbe and, with the sensor removed it showed 4.5V on one wire and nothing (not ground) on the other; with the sensor installed (either the original or the new one), it showed 4.5V on both wires. Is that wire voltage level and reading pattern normal? What is this sensor's normal resistance level? I am stuck. Either the new sensor was also faulty (can a sensor be faulty and still show normal resistance, if 2.8-2.9KOhm happens to be normal?), or it is something else. The battery charge and alternator function were both checked and are normal. Any thoughts? If I need to check the connection of the wire that comes from that sensor, where does it go? TIA

Hey guys!

I just got a used Mercedes Benz A w168 but it seems like the ambient(outside) temperature is faulty. It's always stuck on a certain reading.

I am going to order a replace for it but I have no single idea where it sits on my car and couldnt not find anywhere on the internet about this specific model.

Could you please help me out?

Thanks in advance!
