Do you have to bleed the brakes after your finished. I noticed that you didn’t
What Tom said..
how important is the anti siezing and the blue thing? my mechanic i go to for break changes doesnt seem to put on this stuff
He didn’t bleed?
change brake sensor
Great video boys, thumbs UP!
Thanks for great video.. I had tried to replace rear pad on my 2001 C200 Kompressor and the message still shown BRAKE LINING WEAR.. Could you please advise.
great job & great video guys. very detailed
What brands or type of rotors and pads where used? Looked like ceramic on the front!
great work thanks guys !
I can see shit, you fat body blocked everything!!!!
Fantastic guys – thank you very much.
WELL DONE, VERY HELPFUL
Excellent video! Thanks for sharing.
One question. At the 16:44 time mark, there is a black hose hanging down just above the hammer. Do you know what that hose is for? I also have this on my 2006 C230 Sport. Thanks again for sharing…
just dont tighten the lugs too tight or they can brake inside the threads.
his wrench stops at a certain force which would be 97 ft lbs.
on an impact gun connected to a compressor dont compress any more than 100lbs in the tank.
thanks for the help. did my brakes on my S430 my self , and changed the front rotors too.
check my video out on how to jumpstart a benz with trunk locked. u kno the battery is in trunk
Excellent
Just wanted to know if this is the same with a 2005 c230 kompressor? What and where can I buy each part so that I may start having fun doing my car =D thank you for making this video!!!!
Or just buy from the Mercedes dealer them selves?
you’d probably save a few gloves if you remove all the old rotors first and installing all 4 new rotors at the same time. but im guessing you do that since this is a video..
Hi Anthony, I also wanted to know, how many sensors are required? Thanks.
Hi Anthony, does the brake sensors need to be replaced each time pads are replaced? Thanks.
Anthony, did you use two different cars on the video? It looks like two considering around the 1:00 mark that the direction of the slotted holes is opposite the direction at the 1:40 mark. What I was looking for is if the rotors are directional in relationship to the side of the car it goes on.
I just dont understand when he says 97 ft lbs… I mean if this is a DIY, I just dont know how many pounds im pushing or..?? Im not sure someone please explain. And TY for the vid.
hello am new to doing brakes, but i need to change my pads but they asked me what caliber pistons do i have in my car, apparently there are 1,2, and 4…how do i know which one i need
This youtube video is great! One of the best I have seen. Lighting is very good. Each step is explained. Embedded text is helpful. I wish every how to video was like this one.
Oops, I meant the rotor alignment screw, that single screw that holds the rotor in place before you put the wheel and caliper back on.
Nice job, Anthony. I’ve never seen a Mercedes done before. Looks solid. Of course what stands out is the difference with most other brake systems. Do you lubricate the sliders? What with? I notice that you use nickel antiseize rather than ‘brake quiet’. Is that your shop preference or is it specific for Mercedes? Do you need to put antiseize on the caliper alignment screw? Sometimes that can be hard to get off, and it seems redundant….
how much did that brake job cost?
Cleaning tip for the diy’ers: When you have the wheels OFF, wash them INSIDE and OUT, so you’l have brand new pads/rotors what have you, plus a shiny set of 4. It’s an extra step that’s worth it’s effort and more. Every shop I’ve been to NEVER does this.
nice
