It’s from heat inside the car..The wood when exposed to heat expands..the
problem is that the aluminum it is bonded to isn’t subject to the same heat
since the wood absorbs it all (wood is a good insulator and a poor
conductor of heat,so the wood heats and the aluminum stays cool).. I
Gorilla glued mine and clamped it for 6 hours…worked perfectly…if you
try it..make sure to heat it slowly and evenly
I have the same problem. But mine is curled even more severe.
