I can only get a little over 5 quarts when I use my Oil extractor/pump. Any tricks on how to get more out of the Dip Stick tube so I don't have to drain the oil from below.

Viking Robot says:

You were a little light on oil on that final dispstick check.
Vehicle must be level, warm and let sit for five min, then check…don’t just go by what the specs say.
It’s nice they went with a steel oil pan so you can remove the drain plug instead of those stupid plastic pans and plugs Mercedes’ put on certain cars.
Sad thing is just like a lot of the other Mercedes’ crappy engine designs the camshaft sensors leak oil out of the electrical connectors which wick oil through the wiring harness into the engine control module causing very expensive repairs like new sensors , engine wiring harness and engine control modules which the new replacement parts are no better than the $9,500.00 repair you just paid for.
Get this checked by a trusted shop before the car goes out of warranty.
They are producing a lot of junk parts which either destroy engines or cause a lot of issues the manufacturer denies to avoid legal actions just to save a few dollars in production costs.
It’s really sad how terrible they are building these machines these days especially with their plastic parts and inferior metals on AMG vehicles which are supposed to be a step above……seriously a Ford E 250 van is a step above these piles of junk.
They don’t put enough real world testing into their products before dumping them onto our streets in the real world.
I work on these machines every day and I can’t tell you how many technicians are disgusted with this product and how bad we would like to kick the engineers in the balls for creating stuff that is not only a nightmare to disassemble and assemble things which in most vehicles Are incredibly easy yet this company decides to make things easy for production and never take into consideration the technicians that need to fix their junk and the owners who think they’re paying for a engineering marvel.
Yes they’re paying for an expensive engineering marvel that has no real world testing before realizing the nightmare issues that are just waiting to pop up and deplete your savings account and cause your wife to divorce you just cause you wanted to impress the neighbors who own an equally crappy Maserati or Bentley.
Junk, junk, junk.
Seriously just go buy a Ford vehicle and sleep well at night.
Want more info on decent and crappy vehicles?….ask someone who works on them for a “living.”
