Try brake cleaner, or carb cleaner on the pins, and wait a few minutes for it to soak in. Also, make sure you are tapping the pins out in the correct direction.
having a heck of a time pushing those pins thur. they are frozen… is there any release on the inside.. both mine are frozen.. and now one bred the end and its no good.. is there something im missing anyone? pins that hold pads in place.
I work for a parts supplier here in uk so it shouldn’t be a problem with me finding them, the pads I can get are asbestos free so no dust for me!!!! 🙂
James, it should not be that much different, if any. Just make sure you have the correct pads. Check with your local auto supply store, they will tell you exactly which ones you need. The new ceramic brake pads don’t leave any brake dust on the rims/wheels, which I really appreciate.
Totally agree with you, the jack for W124 is the worst, very dangerous, it tends to roll, the car will fall down.
Just go my self a hydrolic jack and stands, just to be safe.
That vehicle jack is WAY TOO FEEBLE to allow the vehicle to be worked on! USE AXLE-STANDS or a PROPER JACK, NEVER a vehicle supplied jack for any type of work except to change a wheel in emergency.
I think you might be right, but can’t swear to it. My local auto parts store has always been more than helpful answering any of my questions, even loaning me tools when I need them. Their computer will tell you what parts you need. Just be careful not to open up the caliper clamps on the back brakes (brake fluid will start leaking out). I say this because I started to make that mistake. Just follow the video, and you will be ok.

Good luck.

2002 C240 exact same as video, great instructional. Rambo, there are no sensors on the rear, only on front on this model.

Thanks, good advice. I just bought some jack stands. Heavy duty wheel chocks aren’t a bad idea either.
Thanks. In anticipation of my next brake change/inspection, I just bought some heavy duty jack stands at Harbor Freight (on sale for $15. !!).

Is this the same as a 2002 c220 cdi coupe?

Use jack stands for your safety. Never work on only jack.
hey where are the sensor
Thank you for the video. It was very helpful.
hi there, would this be the same process on a 1998 c250 td estate ? thanks
You are welcome. I hope the video helped.
Thanks!!!

That question has been answered
Thanks everybody
Thanks
I think the E class 2002 has the same concept, is that so?
Unbolt the caliper and remove the rotor. Check on benzworld. I am sure there are detailed instructions and torque specs etc for your model.
Thanks, that was useful. I need to change a breaking disk (rotor) is it much more complicated?
