The plug is hard to remove, afraid to break it

Thank you for this! Both my headlights were dead and I just fixed them myself – definitely see where lady hands are an advantage.

Christian Marschall says:

Hahaha. You're a fraud. You chose the easy side. Other side has much less room and needs the bumper removed if you don't have tiny hands.

I just changed the bulbs on my GFs mazda 2. This vid was helpful. Thanks for posting. I had no luck getting the plug off the back initially. What I ended up doing, was just pulling the rubber boot back enough to reach in, undo the spring clip and pull the entire connected plug/boot/bulb assembly out. Then I had plenty of leverage on the plug and disconnect.

Thanks done this on Mazda 2 before ,but it's nice to know before doing it again (the left side is harder with the fuse box in the way (2012 NA left side steering) if you look at Mazda manual they want you to take half the car apart .

You should probably mention that if you let go of the lamp whilst attempting to position it, it can fall inside the enclosure – which presents you with a whole new problem 😉

The most important, and hardest to figure out, is the removing the spring clip. The video does not show this at all, basically worthless instruction video.
