Supposed to use 4 pins not just two. Sometimes the tabs are bent as well
and you can’t remove radio with kit. Junkyard is where I got replacement
panel for mine. 5 bucks for that not sure what whole radio is๏ปฟ
If you are lucky the radio will come out as easy as it did in this video. I
could not get it out using the tools and was forced to remove the dashboard
plate to get to the back of the radio and release it there.
A tip for anyone who gets ‘stumped’ while removing a radio. Go to
Metraonline (dot) com, the company that makes the dash kits and wiring
harnesses. Look up the car then download the instructions. They give pretty
decent removal instructions.
thank you for posting this video i have been needing tribute videos and im
afraid they’re awful scarce . radio is one of my many problems on my
Tribute..
yeah but when you need to get across a road to get ahead of traffic because
the light just turned or when the light turns yellow and its too late to
brake that makes it completely worth it ๐ i love that Duratec V6
Be nice if all vehicles was that easy to remove sterio’s. My friends
cavalier had to rip top of dash and trim completely off to remove the
sterio. Then to put an aftermarket sterio in had cut back support brace
with dremel to allow new sterio to sit back in far enough. Friggin
nightmare..lol

great post! other posts said the front dash cover had to be removed! I can
do this for my wife’s car and become her hero, and …
She will be very happy for sure.

Most Always Zipping Dangerously Along

pins in them holes. ๐

When removing the Radio use the bottom two holes on each side.I could not
get it out with the middle holes. Just my experience.
