5 min tutorial – goes over cautions to avoid triggering theft alarm when disconnecting the battery power, and how to reset power windows after new battery is installed.
This was a 2016 Mazda CX 5.
I paid for costco battery with my own money, no financial disclosure, nothing to sell here.
Did you not do the learn procedure for thr Battery Managment System when installing a new battery??
Thank you for the detailed information ( …so far so good ), but you should also clean your car on the inside including the engine room from time to time…
I have a slightly older gen Mazda CX-5, diesel 2.2, and the almost 9 yo battery is still working. However I already do have this similar check. Actually I have been having it maybe for a years already. I have seen videos on internet showing how to reset the old battery notification condition. Your video suggests that it's done automatically once the car sees the new battery. Whether this is true or not, the mechanic another told that one has to do the explicit battery reset anyway because automatically it's not fully reset, such as in one subsystem of the car but not the other.
Hate to tell you. 12.4v is fine. If you are not having problems starting car don't change battery if it is 12.4v.
what is the model of the battery? is it group 35? but right or left?
12Volta how many amps?
First time ever changing a battery, thank you
Very helpful – thanks! Took 10 minutes and was easy to do myself.
Great video – we have a similar model – did you have any issues resetting iStop?
Mine is 2016 Mazda CX-5 & odometer is at 56k. Had a service today and mechanic told me I had to replace lower control arms & replace battery. Can understand battery but unusual for the control arms.
Nice, thanks for the window tip
