Did you changed something especially for the turbo, pistons, etc ?

curadomovies says:

It is using a sensor to detect the manifold pressure. kpa is a measure of
atmospheric pressure. At 200 kpa you are under 14.5 PSI of boost. Look up
speed density tuning. I wasn’t using a knock sensor, I was just cautious
with the distributor and fueling. My GTP uses a knock sensor though, but it
runs a lot closer to the edge..

curadomovies says:

It’s running a megasquirt ecu. The fuel table is kpa x rpm. I tuned it with
a wideband to where it was consistently seeing 11-12 afr under boost and it
was making decent power. Ignition wise, it was still using the naturally
aspirated distributor so it was being held back quite a bit.

post some more videos of this car

dude you guys are crazy you werent even boosting mad props for getting oil
and all that to it but it takes alot more to boost an f2 i have a gt mazda
mx6 wit h17 lbs of boost and you should check my vids out i run 13.4 at 105
on crappy tires and 14 lbs of boost good try though

curadomovies says:

The turbo, distributor, knock sensor, injectors, pcm and intercooler came
off a wrecked probe at a junk yard. Something like 175 bucks. Installation
depends on technical ability. Rewiring the PCM is what actually makes the
car faster. Alternatively, you can just megasquirt it. Without doing that,
it just makes fun noises for the most part. Installation has a lot of
variables. I still remember all of it if you have questions.

Fuck thats dodgey

Deadpoolicious says:

I wouldnt suggest you taking off cold in a car with turbo O_o. The oil wont
have enough time to circulate. This is a form of oil starvation which could
really fuck up your turbo.

curadomovies says:

@ababmxking Yeah that’s me. Rough beginnings, lol

JK9 says:

Did the control unit to modify or change? Sorry for my bad english..

Daniel Benitez says:

What turbo kit did you use? I have a 1990 626 and want to turbo it but idk
what to use

tpvalley says:

how did u get mixture correct on boost?

pontiacracecar says:

Stock internals. Didn’t drive it like a mad man but it definitely saw some
track time. Held up OK under 15 lbs boost.

curadomovies says:

It was from a 1990 ford probe gt. Turbo was an IHI RHB5 oil/water cooled.
The RHB5 is NOT compatible with a T3 flange. Search ebay for mazda 626
turbo manifold and you will find T3 manifolds in stainless steel, and the
cast iron version is the IHI RHB5 manifold.

curadomovies says:

It was a rough start but it ended up liquid intercooled and megasquirted.
It ran a consistent 14.6 at the track. The only thing I was hung up on was
the ignition. Getting that to work with megasquirt was proving to be a
challenge. Ended up scrapping the car, but I saved the motor and turbo
setup. Might do a B2200 some time instead.

ababmxking says:

just wondering, but this wouldnt happen to be the guy i bought this setup
off of in KC is it?

tpvalley says:

what do u mean kpa? for example if u floor it off boost at 4000rpm then
again on boost at full load at 4000rpm what distinguishes between the 2?
What detects the boost or is it ultra rich off boost? Often boosted cars
will run more retarded ignition not for power but to prevent detonation;
have u programmed it to retard using the piezoelectric still (knock
sensor).?
