Welcome! Definitely a big thumbs up for YouTube 🙂

Check out this video to learn how to quickly change the front bumper on
your Mazda 6.

happywrenching says:

Yes, it would be a lot of work and IMO is not worth the hassle.

happywrenching says:

Have not taken the rear bumper off… yet. If you’re not in a hurry, check
back after the weekend is over – you’ll find what you’re looking for 🙂

happywrenching says:

Google clipsandfasteners – they have a website that has all kinds of clips.
It’s like 6 bucks for a pack of 15. As for the screws, I would try your
local hardware store – Home Depot, Lowes, etc. They should have something
that fits.

Ethiridos says:

I assume it’s pretty straightforward. I looked under and saw some visible
bolts. Any suggestions in fixing rust? I am planning on sanding, then
applying fiberglass putty, then sanding, then paint.

happywrenching says:

The grills are held on by several tabs that you have to slide off from the
inside of the bumper. With the lower grill, you take off those tabs, and
then push the grill inward. The upper grill, you have to take off the tabs
and also the mounting clips and screws on top. Obviously its easier to do
all this with the bumper off.

happywrenching says:

Not at the moment, but thanks for the idea 🙂

do you have any videos about head light housing replacement

Welcome!

Rear bumper video is up, check it out. As for the rust, can’t help you with
that – bodywork is not really my forte. Good luck.

Brady Gerdes says:

How do you take out the mesh in the bumper like the plastic vent. I have no
idea how to do it and I can’t find a video on it

Excellent clip. Thanks for saving the little bloke like me, from being
ripped off. Easy when you know how, not worth $100 per hour labor, because
you don’t know how. Thumbs up to you, and thumbs up for YouTube!!

put them with disc would it be a lot of work

About to do some work on the car this weekend — this is a great help.
Thanks a ton!

Ethiridos says:

I have taken the bumper off my Protege and it’s identical to this. I need
to remove the back bumper to fix a rust spot but have not found any good
info online. Have you taken the back one off? If so, was it complicated?
Thanks!
