Hey Guys!

Today I installed a pioneer bluetooth stereo into this Mazda 6 Attenza.
It went pretty well apart from the fact that the complex kit that arrived for the install was WAY different to anything I had used before.
So I figured it out…

Followed this almost to the word on my 2003 Mazda 6 series I (didn't do the tv… don't t have one). But…. I have zero audio. Head unit has power. Radio gets a signal and the air con works fine. I have checked all my wires and all the fuses I could think of and they are all fine. Any idea what has go e wrong?

(P.S. it has the BOSE audio pack. Don't know if that is Important)

Any chance you could share the Link for the connection reference guide? Or is it trade secret? 😉

I just got my 2004 mazda6 radio replaced now my CEL , TCS OFF , AND TRACTION CONTROL lights are on, any clue why this is happening? do you guys touch those wires when you change the radio? thank you

I just installed the same kit in my 2006 Mazda. The extra plug is for an ASWC-1. I had the same problem with the fascia sitting out a bit. However, I found this was because the head unit was sitting too far forward. When I adjusted the brackets on the head unit the fascia fitted in properly and lined up as it should.

The worst kit I have ever buy!Nothing works as fast as in mazda dash panel. What about fuel consumpcion, total average ect?Metra is fuc…. sh…!

Kenneth Blackburn says:

That harness with the 3.5mm plug definitely looks like it is for an ASWC-1. Great video. It’s nice seeing an indepth video on.a complicated dash kit.

Love the videos, but with a new kit, just read the instructions.

William West says:

maybe you should have used the clips that came in the kit ?

Dan Krivolavek says:

Would been neat to figure out a tablet install where the screen pops up…lol.

Sirtokesalot47 says:

why dont you use heat shrink instead of tape when soldering and covering the connections? my experience with tape it is comes loose after a few years.

James Bowen says:

I use to own a mazda atenza 2001 station wagon but I was never able to find a double din facia kit in NZ, only aliexpress or yahoo action jp. (9 years ago).

Could the screen been converted to be used as a reversing camera, or would it not work because it only used SECAM video signal?
