ghostlyrich says:

i would either by a aftermarket deck and pac module. or i would buy a audiocontrol lc2i line out converter and wire it off the 2 rear speakers

antman815 says:

I have a 2006 Mazda 6 with Bose, how would you wire this? would you bypass the Bose amp?

Matthew Canta says:

Pop it out pop it out pop it out

ghostlyrich says:

works great i made a stealth amp rack video saying how i built it

raydub6 says:

I noticed you mounted your amplifiers right under the rear deck in the trunk. How well does that work out? What was the process and hardware used to hide those there?

ghostlyrich says:

if the battery is dead it sounds like you either had a short or your amp wasnt turning off

flexxoe1 says:

My battery died because my power cable started to tear, I need a new fuse block as well and possibly a power wire. Fuse seems healthy but Im not sure..

ghostlyrich says:

a multimeter is your best bet or if you check your cigarette lighter and its only on when the cars in ac or when the cars running thats your best bet

XxGUNDEZZExX says:

What if your wiring remote wire to the stock deck, how would I know which wire to tap into?

ghostlyrich says:

im double fusd. 1 at amp and 1 at bat

oakcman says:

howcome your fuse is near your amp end and not your battery end?

ghostlyrich says:

i have run over 30 systems like this and can tell you its fine to run it like this unless you use cheep rcas, or are runing a amp over 1200 rms most people get noise in there lines from cheap doller store rcas or bad grounds

Edwin Hartanto says:

As what I know you will get some noise sound if you put all the power and audio cable together.

XSTAYUPX says:

so you drive a Maizda, eh?

ghostlyrich says:

i have wired 15+ systems this month and have only had alt noise once amd that was on a big rig semi. if your using quality wire with quality rca’s your fine easily up to 1000 rms

Michael Fennell says:

i bet you have a lot of road noise. your supposed to run your rca’s and remote wire separate from your power and ground.. just a little tip

ghostlyrich says:

stealth box in the door

dylan hockley says:

Where’s the sub ?

Jack Hammond says:

I also have a tip for you,

Your power lead emits a slight magnetic signal all the way down the wire, and your input leads, (the one that send the signal from the head unit to the amp) can pick these up and distort the sound, it doesn’t always happen, but if you have distortion, this may sort that problem out.

Jack Hammond says:

“this is how you take off this piece”

aims camera at seat

-.-

Matthew Klain says:

Oh cool, great idea. My budget isn’t much higher than those Alpine’s that’s why I was looking at them. Once you get started, the total cost for everything really adds up fast! Hopefully I’ll do this in the next couple of months. Will let you know… This is invaluable info… thanks again!

ghostlyrich says:

unless your going into hertz audio those speakers sound pretty good. i would suggest if you have the extra cashpick up a alpine pdx 5 channel amp! they give clean power and then if you run another set of rcas you just have to run speaker wires to a sub box to add a small sub for the low end

ghostlyrich says:

whats your budget ? on each pair ?

Matthew Klain says:

You rock, thanks! I will look at that other video as well. Such a help. I’m not sure as I’ve just started my research but thinking about replacing the 4 stocks with 4 Alpine SPR-68s as I read some good reviews but I’d love any recommendations!

ghostlyrich says:

hey bud! yes you can mount the amp in from fo sure and yest there should be a clutch plat. even if there isnt you can still drill through the fire wall or get a long zap strap and push it thouh a existing gromet
. also be sure to look at my how to wire a 4 channel amp video. hope that helped you out.what kind of speakers are you doing ?

Matthew Klain says:

This is so great. Might you happen to know if much has changed by 2011? (clutch plate access for example) I’ve never done anything like this before but would like to just install an amp (no sub) and replace the stock speakers. Can I just mount the amp in the front if I’m not putting in a sub? Thanks in advance!!

ghostlyrich says:

yes this is fine as long as your running under 1000 watts rms and are using proper car audio rca’s

floridaboys13 says:

so you running the RCA with the POWER CABLE together ????

jake conrad says:

Ok ill check it out and also ty for putting it right hear Lol

ghostlyrich says:

If you watch my new video on eq tutorial you will see my new head unit

ghostlyrich says:

Pioneer deh 6200bt

jake conrad says:

Hey man what type of Head-unit do u have Pioneer what???

ghostlyrich says:

Im fused both at the battery and at the amp. Also dont need to seperate the power and rcas unless your use crappy rcas and and crappy speaker wire

ryanbreeze says:

fuse should be near battery, and power and rca’s should be run down separate sides of the vehicle

ramon kroutz says:

I recently had my car’s gear box fixed. Peugeot 206 2006. Now i have no power to my jbl sub and amp located in trunk. Any ideas? Tx

rx8twinturbo911 says:

yea that could be an idea i would have to have the amp facing up now down like in the video cause there isent enough room ill see how that works just drill a hole where i can feed my wires thew so the wires are hidden more ill try that thanks

ghostlyrich says:

hiding the wires is pretty simple but if your pushing 2000 watts in that car i would seriously aim your subs into the trunk for performance and bass reasons. led is suppose to look cool when you open your trunk to show off your system. the other thing you could do is mount the subs under the rear window on that back deck behind the back seat. cut the liner to fit around it and tint you back windows so people can see it from out side the car. watch?v=FhmgwyEw1Lo thats how i did my amp rack

rx8twinturbo911 says:

its a 94 so if i was to put it on the back seat you wouldent be able to so it nd it may get hot but ive had a few people tell me to turn the subs around but i have a LED light on the inside of the subs nd my back seat down i just need to fine somewhere to mount my amp or put my wires

ghostlyrich says:

I would say back of the back seat… if i were you i would have the subs facing into the trunk for best bass but yea back of the seat is were i would mount it …. hard to choose. What year is your escort ?

rx8twinturbo911 says:

hey im trying to think of the best way to mount my amp i have a little ford escort and the subs are facing the front of the car where would be the best place i can mount my 2,000 watt amp where there would be the least amount of wires showing

ghostlyrich says:

Glad it helped bud

snutmeez says:

thanks for letting me know about havin automatic trans(have 09 hatch).power wire through the firewall and everything set for hookup…

ghostlyrich says:

Nice stuff bud and thanks

heartlessking09 says:

I tried that and my lights do not dim. I just put a new battery and replaced my entire timing belt a month ago. I actually realized that since there was an extra load to my battery etc my ecu had to be restarted again. none the less, thanks for the help. btw, great tutorial for installing a sub and amp!

ghostlyrich says:

Nope. But if your running a high power setup some cars will idle higher if the batteries are low. So if your batteries draining to low you might want to purchase abetter battery and alternator have you noticed your lights diming? Try cranking audio setup at idle and put your parking brake on and walk aroundyour car and see if tail lights are diming

heartlessking09 says:

hey, I know this would be some what of a random question, but have you noticed a difference in your gas mileage when you play your subwoofer loud?

ghostlyrich says:

sorry m450 ^_^’

ghostlyrich says:

mrp-f250 40watts rms power channel x4. mrp-m400 400watts rms

Ben Crosbie says:

nice job man. how much watts does these amps produce?
