For some reason my clips were bent way out and the Ford keys couldn’t reach
them. I had to unhook the air conditioning wires, remove the large trim
piece, and take out the glove box to get back at the clips with a flat head
screw driver from behind. After getting one side out like that, the other
came out okay. If you don’t have a tape deck, I’d recommend removing the
cover plate on the front of the stock radio with a pocket knife. It makes
it much easier to grip and pull out the radio.
You CAN use 6 very small screwdrivers. But the process is much more
frustrating than it needs to be. I found I also needed to have 4 hands to
pull the deck out while holding the screwdrivers. You can also get those
removal tools at many hardware stores (canadian tire for example).
Radio Removal Tool, you could buy it from your local Mazda dealer.
The U shape tool needs to be a hard metal. Use four Finishing Nails.

just take a coat hanger and bend it to look like a w with all ends the same
length put it in the holes thats it ghetto fix .
So i can change my radio… because i have an original radio but i want one
