Mine won't work
I can't believe it. I found a remote for my 2002 Mazda at Pick-A-Part and using your instructions I just programmed it. You do have to follow the instructions exactly which I found out after a couple tries. Thanks for your help.
My 2009 can get into programming mode, but pressing the button on the remote doesn't do anything. Help?

If you try this with a new key, you'll trip the anti-theft circuit. Your car will not start. There is no end-user way to reset this. It will need to be towed to a Mazda with OEM scan tools to clear and reprogram your security module. If you bought a 3rd party key, ask your dealer to add it.
