I live in hot climate in the Middle East with Mazda 3s since ages. Oil change 6000km max 5W30! air filter every 10.000km break fluid if doesn't feel right check it and bleed it with fresh one, air intake every 30.000km do manual carbon build up cleaning. use fuel system cleaners once around oil change too. the rest i kinda follow mazda recommendation and I never have had my engine light go on.
Two things that may have other benefits, but will do AVSOLUTELY NOTHING to mitigate carbon buildup on the back side of intake valves on a direct injection engines: 1. Use Top Tier gasoline. 2. Periodically use a fuel cleaner additive.

I change my oil and filter every 3,000 miles… in all my cars.
Mine 2021 mazda 3 2.5 NA has 134k miles and only oil, oil filter and tires changes lol still runs like new. And yep, air filter and cabin.
My Mazda cx5 2.0 skyactive has 12500 miles service interval
The issues with 7500 oil changes comes from the fact that mazda only recommend them if the car is use only in highway conditions. In case of city driving, Mazda recommends 3000mi oil changes. Read your owner's manual

Yes, with regular maintenance, I could easily see the Mazda lasting that long. There are other factors as well. I am currently at 200K on a 2010 Mazda 3 and it won't last much longer. I could have easily crossed 250K-300K miles if not for a change from commuting to WFH since the pandemic. Nearly all of my trips now are within a 5 mile radius of my home instead of the highway miles I used to put on. That is hard on a vehicle.
