Worked like a charm on my 2009, 3. Thx man 🙂
what color for mazda orange or is it red?
Yeah i got it now i put a switch in like your too but i have heated seats so i had to put the switch in the ash tray
No sir! make sure negative is with negative and positive stay with positive! tape those 2 groups together, the video should explain it if im not wrong
Did u connect all the wires together and tape them?
ha sorry!!!
Not to self, never make a video when im sick. I will sounds disgusting.
glad i could help!!!! share this with anyone you know so they can see how easy it is too!
THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN!!! the LEDS in my mazda 3 look sweet! you made me feel like a pro electrician! Haha thanks again and God Bless!
Awesome, that works too! hope the video helped!
i removed the light in the ash tray an put my switch there an ran the lights from there so i have double switch the headlight switch an the after market one. That way its hidden an not an eye sore plus more safer cause headlight switch can be a power kill switch for the other one it wont be a live wire til headlights are on.
Would be easier than having them on all the time while driving or installing the on/off switch. I’m guessing having to connect them somewhere with the doors that activates the map and dome light or running cables up to the map and/or dome. I’ve tried to look it up but can’t find anything
yes i have heard of people doing this, im not 100% sure how but i know its very possible
Would it be possible to somehow connect them to only turn on when you open a door like the map and dome lights?
Thanks so much!
this video is a boost of confidence man
I appreciate it so much!
Really good fucking video man! Seriously
you can, but you run the risk of some how screwing up the lighter. if you splice them correctly you can run them, but then you cant run a switch because that would shut power off to the lighter as well, unless your ok with that. but if you cut the wires and arent able to attatch them back to the lighter then your kinda screwed there and they are very expensive to do. i say your best bet is just follow this video and my video of how to add a switch and your all set
can i hook my wires up to the the front lighter because the lighter turns off when the car is off and turns on when the car is on. but i want to install a switch also so how i would i wire that? i want to do them this weekend. Help?
Yea no problem!!! glad it helped! i love seeing that you guys are actually using the video!!!
Thank you, great video! I did mine as well with the on/off switch. I’ll hookup another set to it next week to do the back seat. Thanks again for the good explanation.
awesome!!!! glad it worked!!!!
GREAT VIDEO! I HAVE MY LED’S NOW
JUST LIKE YOU DID!
Honestly anything you want, if you feel a color works, do it! let your imagine go crazy and find something that fits you
I’m getting a gold Mazda 3. What colour u reckon would suit that? Red?
glad i could help!!!!
Check out LEDunderbody. They have an awesome kit that I bought and installed. It’s the perfect kit and cheap. ($35 USD) You have multiple colors. 7 to be exact and it is sound sensitive if you chose to use that mode.
Two people missed the like button. If they did mean to hit it, they probably broke something in their car. I bought the 4 pc 7 color and sound sensitive kit from LED Underglow . com. It only cost me $35 and it’s pretty bad ass. Thanks for the vid. I have the cleanest looking install because of this vid. You rock!!
these arent orange, they are red. you can probably find orange somewhere online its just not a very popular color.
Where did you find orange LEDs? I have blue wired under mine right now to match the instrument cluster blue lights but want orange instead.
How did you put the wiring and LED strips together … Soldering?
No problem! glad it helped! id love to see how the came out for you, post a picture on my facebook “mazda3only”!
Hi thanks a lot for a reply and this video. It turned out to be just a bad wiring connnection to the bulb holder, the road holes gave it away 😉 Now everythings works great!!! Thanks again. By the way the LED strips are a resistand bi.ch, while searching for the route cause I frose them solid for 12hours, instant light up anyway! 😉 enjoy the results guys I am planing the same for the trunk, I hate the fact that I see shit now in winter… That willl change soon 😉
because they are attatched still to your ash tray lights it might be taking not enough power out of the wires. i just put a switch on mine and i had that problem when the switch had a small light on it. so i got another switch with no light and now i dont have that problem
I instaled them yesterday, looks great. They are connected to the ashtray bulb with a switch to turn them off, the bulb is still working. The problem is they do not light up right away if the car was standing for a while. Either due to cold weather or I do not know why. In the morning after 5C night it took them 2min to start during the day 1min.When I’m driving or just finished with engine off they work right away with the light switch. Is there less then 9V in the wiring at start or crapy LEDs?
That’s what I did. But I took it a step further and wired them after the switches, so now my footwell lights come one with the map lights.
nah i like them on by a switch, im adding a switch soon, so if i want them on they come one, not come on randomly or are always on when i drive at night either
you should get your leds wired to the map light so they turn on/ff with the door opening and closing!
autozone
does your set up look generally the same? i think they havent changed much so probably yes! pop it off to look
