How to fix the drivers side power window on a Mazda 3

In this video I describe how to fix the drivers side window that goes down ok, but has a hard time going up. Basically what I did was use a slice of a Q-tip shaft to shim up the post that contacts the electrical connection. This is a fast and easy fix for a frustrating problem. It has a total cost of zero and a total satisfaction factor of 10!

Exact same problem, thank you.

Benefited from the video, even though it's not exactly what i needed to be fixed. I could have gone to the mechanic and paid for the simple stuff. Thank you!

This worked amazingly well! I had to buy the more expensive mini driver set that they sell at Home Depot, but I'll take a 10 dollar fix over 200!

Great tutorial! I was having the EXACT same problem on my 2007 mazda 3, even down to twisting the switch and reaching over with my right hand. I ended up not using the shim. When i removed the rubber gasket, i noticed the contact you were referencing had some black lines on it. I cleaned both contacts with rubbing alcohol, put it back together, and it works like a charm! Wouldn't have figured it out without your video. Thank you! Keep up the good work.
