Walid Saliba says:

what about the blower how easy is to change it?

Emma Rosie says:

Izzy thank you for commenting. You can buy a resistor at mostly any auto
parts store, even Walmart has them. Just ask any person there that there
and tell them your car brand, make, year and all that info to them and they
will find it in the store for you. The price is somewhere between $30-$40.
Hoped that helped! Thank you

Emma Rosie says:

Oh your welcome I love doing what I do! 🙂

Emma Rosie says:

They are very cheap and work great. Thanks for watching!!!

bcarlzson says:

mine just went out yesterday too, the reason 4 works is because it is a
bypass and doesn’t require the transistor. Replacing this worked for me,
total cost less than $40.

Derrick S says:

Thanks a lot – just did this now on my Protege5 and it took literally 2
minutes to pop out the glove box, unscrew the 2 screws and replace the
resistor. Cost me $52 cdn at Mazda parts (could have gotten it cheaper
online but I didn’t want to wait…).

MrFrankyFeathers says:

Doug, what was your reason for replacing the blower resistor? My AC blows
cold air like Jcgjw said but doesn’t work on blower speed 2 or 3. Do you
think replacing the resistor will fix it. I just took it to the dealership
with a free coupon to check my AC system but just called and basically said
that I would have to pay 80 dollars for them to check my switch and
resistor because it isn’t part of my ‘AC’ system. Haha WTF?! Thanks for
posting this by the way.

Emma Rosie says:

For watching this video and just contact me with any question 🙂

Kimon Harris says:

can you upload a video of the the A/C AMPLIFIER cant find one on the web

Emma Rosie says:

MrFrankyFeathers: I replaced the blower motor resistor because the fan
only worked on the high speed. Replacing the resistor should fix the
problem becasue it runs the fan. Your welcome for posting this video. Hope
this helps! 🙂 Sorry i didn’t know you commented.

No1perfect1 says:

great vid mate, keep it up.

NINO BEATS says:

same prob on my 01. blows cold w/ light on. (spd 1 n 4 only)… but, now 4
is not working. we are trying this first. we’ll let yall know.

Emma Rosie says:

Chances are it’s the resistor because the resistor controls the whole fan.
Hope that helps. 🙂

Emma Rosie says:

Thank you everyone

Did you ever find anything? My stepson’s 2001 is doing the same thing as
Boxinggeeks.

elneoAidan2011 says:

Did you fix it with this resistor already? because I have the same problem,
my 01 was working only in 4 but now stop even in 4 and i don’t know now if
is only this resistor or not… Did u fix with only replace the resistor
after yours in 4 wasn’t working? thank you.

Emma Rosie says:

Thanks for watching and you are welcome. I love doing what I do and it’s no
problem. Thank You!

Brooke Davis says:

Hi Doug! Just wanted to thank you for this video. I put the part in today
and my blower is now good as new. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

decamerondix says:

Exacty what I was looking for! Thanks so much for making this tutorial!
Simple fix, ~30 bucks for the part. My fan would only work on 4 or 0. Now
it’s perfect!

Connie Dinning says:

This video was great! My fan only ran on high speed while speeds 1-3 did
nothing on my 1999 Mazda Protege . After watching this video, I replaced
the blower motor resistor and the fan is back in business. The part was
only $36 and total repair only took 5 minutes. Thanks Doug!!!

Jcgjw says:

Hi, i have the same car. Mine does blow air but the cold ac air only works
on setting 1 not the rest. Do you thing its the resistor?

Emma Rosie says:

Thanks for watching!

Emma Rosie says:
