I have to know was the dent happen after you found out or you had it for
long time ?
LOL at the bald bobo baldy with the camera. Bald twat.
That’s not compressed air. Compressed air is not visible as it is
discharged under those conditions. That is a coolant gas of some sort.
Could be freon, could be CO2, etc….but it’s not simple air.
Lol
Lol
He hid a midget in the trunk to pop it out, lol
@SnoopyLady100 its canned air for cleaning dust, thats what happens when
you hold the can upside down
He said only works on ones you haven’t creased
It only works on …what? The cameraman talked to much and we couldn’t
hear the guy explaining what it works on.
Did the paint bubble ? looking at 1:33, seems like it did (like acne on
someones face I guess). Also, did the ‘greyish’ section fade away
A bad of ice will work just as good too because all you’re doing is
shrinking the metal with the cold after it expanded with the heat.
keyboard cleaner is compressed air in a spray can. not harmfull for your
car but dont spray on your hands it gets so cold it can cause freezerburn.
i have seen chip foose use the cold hot tech niek on a bumper to flathen a
crease
if you told him to use a blow torch instead he probably would be dead right
now
Mike, does it work in aluminium body? I have a Land Rover Defender. What
kind of compressed air can are you using in the video?
Is it work? Wow, if plastic is gonna work? Too
that whole process took less than 2 minutes… how would a plunger be
faster?
CANNED air. Compressed air is not cold enough. Even in winter. And to you
Tim Taylor types, a heat gun may well work, but it will burn the paint.
I’ve seen this method using dry ice instead of canned air.
A hair dryer won’t blow up you car dude. There’s no spark!! Just don’t use
a blow torch!
cool vid and Nice RX7!
How did it work on the little dents? I have 2 near each other about 1-2
inches of length and half an inch in width.
what? it works just off of the ideal gas law PV=nRT…pretty basic
chemistry honestly..same concept for how your a/c compressor works.
Hold your hand in front of the nozzle from your compressor. Its not going
to be anywhere near as cold. Compressed air cans use difluoroethane (gas
used as a refrigerant). When turned upside-down the “air” being released is
a concentrated mixture of that gas, which will freeze stuff. Your air
compressor is just compressed air. Completely different.
i realize compressed air cools as it expands, but should it not work if i
have a professional grade 20 gal air compressor
It’s not the ‘air’ that does it, it’s the canned air that is upside down
that is super cold. You’re basically heating it up…. then quickly
freezing/cooling it off which makes the metal contract quickly which pops
it back into shape.
would a regular compresser not work,or do you have to buy a can?
I tried it on 09 gmc Sierra…on front fender…didn’t work for me but
maybe I didn’t do it long enough
I think the thing between his ears is his mouth cause you just told them to
suck it!
You sir just saved me some money
Mike, you are a lifesaver!!! A man road raged my sister and smashed in the
entire top or her Prius. Three large dents that went side to side. Your
video made me believe it may work, so I tried it,,, F—ING AMAZING. I
should have made a video cause it worked like magic. ONE PIECE OF ADVICE. I
found that by tap/slapping the metal around the dent while freezing helped
a great deal and after three cans of spray, only a small crease dent is
visible. Also heating again after freezing helped.
TO ALL YOU DOUBTERS, Listen to Mike’s description carefully about crease
dents. But for push in dents, I can testify this works AMAZINGLY WELL. Took
me less than 15 minutes and three cans of spray to repair an entire car
top. Sorry I didn’t make a video, the damaged I fixed was much more
extensive than this vid’s, yet 99% of it was removed totally. THIS
WORKS!!!!!
how is that wrong also you should notice i said “PROBABLY”
Now cops will never find out who did the hit and run
SCIENCE!!!
this that part is metal or plastic? thnaks? and did u know that will work
for very small dents
Weird. I’m the original owner of a ’94 RX7 and I had a dent in the same
area back in 1995. I have no idea how I got it because I always park far
away from door ding bandits. Had it fixed by a paintless dent removal joint
for ~$80 and it looked perfect. Fast forward to 2011 and I have a dent in
the same spot. Well, it might not be exactly the same spot, but if I had to
guess, the dent came back or it’s a crazy coincidence. Anyway, I’m going to
give it a shot and report back.
only kidding man
To help I hope with the confusion, it is NOT the “compressed air” that is
the working element, rather it is the effect “compression” has on air. When
the air is “uncompressed” ie sprayed out of the can it drops in temperature
to well below -100 degrees F. When such cold temperatures come into contact
with the surface of the car first heated up with the blow dryer it causes
sudden, rapid contraction of the metal below causing the dent to pop out
following the original mold of the metal
No, he’s not using the air, he’s using the co2 in the can
I am assuming this only works on fiberglass right?
The spray is just compressed air that can be found almost anywhere, but
when you spray it up side down the compressed air comes out freezing cold.
it does work because of heating metal then cooling it very fast, asir
duster is compressed air so it s cold. it will only work if the dents arnt
deep. like if u sit on your hood with your ass and it pops out by itself.
buetane fuel is also cold, but doent use that its flameable and im sure on
the air duster lable it says some fire/explosion warnings on it.
dude 2 mins and five dollars, just fucking try it
lmao i love all the replies from guy who posted this ,, always works on
uncreased dents!
“How to fix a dent,” shows this application works on creases as well. The
heat relaxes and stretches the dent to give it flexibility to go back into
place, and the condensed air freezes it to shrink it in place. Easy, cheep
and anyone can do it.
