If you take off the 4 retaining screws that hold the well cover to the bumper that whole cover will just drop down giving easy access. No tire removal or nerf football. 🙂 You still need to take off the pop rivets tho.

My wife has this car and the bulb on the driver side just went. I too was looking at how the heck you got into the back of the bulb. Thanks you sir for making this job easier than the royal pain in the neck it seems to be. Appreciate your time!

I have a 2010 Mazda6. Walmart Tire & Lube will install the headlight bulb for around $7.50 plus the purchase of the bulb. Had mine installed today! Under $20 for everything!!

Why does everything on this car have to be such a pain? I dont own one but have done several things on a friends car. I would NEVER recommend this car to anybody.

Thanks for posting. Did this minutes ago. I did not take wheel off but had to use jack with wheel turned outward. Push-type retainers come off as video shows turning with a Phillips head applying no pressure causing middle to pop up then using flat head to pop off outside. If your memory sucks, take a picture of the bulb enclosure with the clip on before you take that retainer clip off, trust me lol. Who were the cosigners that gave thumbs up to the engineer that came up with this?

That sucks. Talk about a design flaw. I feel bad for the people with this car

Hi. Some Valovolene instant oil change places will change out headlights. In the past I had driven in there with the new bulbs in hand and asked them to replace it. They did it without taking off the wheel. It was so much work for them I also gave them a $10 McDonalds coffee gift card as thanks. Good luck! Remember, don’t touch the glass portion of the bulbs.

My headlight just went out and lucky me, I called the dealership and they want $82 to do it 🙁 Ah the joys of being a single woman LOL. Going to attempt this tomorrow! Thanks for the video!
