So let me get this straight car throttle makes a video about being a ricer
yet has an entire video showing the most iced out disgrace to the super car
industry I’ve ever seen…priceless

4. Weirdo thinks shrink wrapping cars with carbon fiber
sticker/cardboard/whatever will one day turn the metal body into cb.
5. Loser talks about downforce but doesn’t know what creates drag. Its a
very well designed car to begin with, why ruin it?
6. Changing the frontal area even slightly increases drag coefficient
drastically resulting reduced acceleration, top speed and mpg/km/l.
No seriously, is this interview for real?? or some one making fun of this
guy.
Does all that extra shit actually do anything for performance? Its not like
the lotus is already an aerodynamic car. Also that wing is way too big. Its
probably causing more drag than downforce.
I understand some of these things are needed especially for time attacks
but this guy really took it too far…

if I saw this thing on the street and I was driving or even walking for

Reading the comments makes me realize people completely ignore aero. Aero
is extremely important. Taping your head lights alone has been proven to
increase Texas mile speeds. I saw 3 MPH with that alone. Aero for time
attack is important too.
Plus, give this guy a break. He is a designer, not a mechanic. He obviously
enjoys designing aesthetics.
I saw that he runs Rota wheels and I came so close to closing this video.
He should have cleaned it…
This is not an ugly riced out car. Every piece of aero on this car is fully
functional. Just watch the video. It’s only goal is to go fast, not look
good or anything else. The front splitters, rear wing, gurney flaps,
diffuser… everything is designed to provide more downforce.
This isn’t meant to be sarcastic, but what version of English is this man
speaking (i.e., Scottish, etc.)?

I like the story, I like the guy. He obviously took the opposite approach
as mine, with the same car. Mine looks perfectly stock besides the rear
wing, and is very quick indeed. Anyway, nice video, interesting story,
always nice to see some different approaches on tuning, especially when it
is all to go FAST.

The spoiler is really really really over the top. Way too big and it looks
like a spider hanging on the back of the car almost.

while no, aero is not that important, especially at that power level, he
wants to keep it on the road and down force plus sticky tires is the best
way to do that. i bet he could take quite a few “super cars” around a short
circuit just because he could be at 8 or 9 10ths through every corner and
not slide off the track

video “The World’s Fastest Lotus”. Makes this one look like a stock Geo
