Thanks for sharing your knowledge on how to use the pop rivet gun. Your
video is one of the best. It shares a lot of details not covered in other
videos.
Bernie, glad you liked the video
Wow it look fun lol
That rebound after it snaps is really nasty. Every time I do it I end up
scratching the surface around the rivet with the nose of my rivet gun. I
don’t know if my rivet gun is to blame or if the rivets are too hard but
I’m getting tired of ruining the surface of pieces I’m riveting.
Brilliant … thanks a lot
I’ve just bought that exact same model, and the largest rivets it will take
(3/16) Do you think such rivets will be strong enough to hold a boat
canopy? Twice I’ve found self-tapping screws have torn out of the
fiberglass. There are only 2 screws on the bracket, 2 brackets, left and
right. I’ve got hold of some stainless steel plates and am thinking of
putting about 6 rivets to hold the plates, then 2 in the canopy’s bracket,
using the plate to spread the load. The canopy is big enough that I can’t
really lift it by myself, so a lot of weight and force on those little
brackets and screws. I’m confident the plates won’t break free, I’m just
wondering if the 2 for the bracket will snap?
Sir, I want to thank you for your time for demonstrating the use/operating
the rivet gun. In recent years I discovered if I need to know something
utube it. I have purchased a windshield outside visor for my 63 vw bug it
is aluminum with mesh and they recommend to use a rivet to install it.
Thank you for taking the time to show the viewers how to operate one. Many
thanks
Rene
Thank you sir. Nice visual of the other side of the rivet as well( frying
pan)
Can I use this as it is shown in Bioshock?
thank you to sir
gosh u make it look so easy. I almost ruined it drilling it out. then worse
than that, I put a rivet in the gun, squeezed and squeezed and the stem
won’t come out of the gun. that’s when I came to ur video to see it I put
it in the gun backwards. what’s wrong w/ it? aaahhhhhh
Anyone know the difference between a 1 way and 2way rivet gun? Thanks
Fantastic. Excellent job. Now I can use my rivet gun.
Thank you so much for this video! Had no clue how to use it, but now I
know!
I learned that pop rivets and associated tools are cool.
i’ll tell u what , great video , but if the fella wanted to make it idiot
proof he should of demonstrated pilot drilling the right size hole for the
rivet on two materials to be joined together , i know he drilled out an old
rivet , but thats not the same , ur have to make another video mate , start
from scratch with the pilot holes lining up to be riveted , then its a
proper job , ok good luck and don’t forget anything next time ,
Excellent video. Super demonstration.
I am doing a big job tomorrow that will require us to rivet a very large
retractable awing together. This was a great how to vid. Thanks for your
time in show us how the gun works. Mark
Just what I needed.
Thanks for this video . It helped me a lot to fix my restaurant chairs. I
wasn’t familiar with this gun. But know I know how to use it.
didn’t care about video quality. But you nailed it. Thanks for the video!
Getting mine tomorrow from Harbor Freight.
Just what I needed to know. How have I survived this long without one. I’m
going to be riveting everything !
Well done Christopher
Thanks
Great video
Great information Chris. Believe it or not, I found this tool to be a bit
intimidating so I never purchased one till today from Amazon. Found a nice
one at a nice price. Thanks to your video I’m confident that I’ll have no
problems using the rivet gun. Can’t wait to receive it and start making my
repairs. Thanks for the video.
great video. just what I was looking for. thanks.
