Excellent video, but don’t know why I found warrior poses impossible today!
Arrgghhh! I love the seated twist and back bend, 2 in 1! Your videos
surprise me everyday! Namaste!ο»Ώ
although the storm is right next to me, its nowhere near me. Thank you,
Namaste. ο»Ώ
What? No inversion? No shoulderstand? That was may favorite episode of
the whole series…I guess I’ll just have to do that one at my leisure!
But I loved it anyway; I always feel so GOOD after any of your classes!ο»Ώ
As I start to lose height, itβs important for me to work on spinal
elongation breathing in to calm me while bringing my upper body forward &
down letting my head hung in between my arms. Great feeling my body on top
of warm sand while listening to the ocean waves; my entire spine felt warm.
In this class, I asked for strength & acceptance to see & embrace my
physical changes. I seem to get more out of a low lunge; are benefits of
low & high lunge the same? A gentle but powerful class. Namaste
I thought you had been quiet over the last few days! Glad to hear from you!
I hope you were having a vacation π Namaste, Melissa
Well ya I am kind of on a vacation…although my husband is working and I
am having too much fun in the pool ha ha ha today must be the day when I
have to have to ….do your class. Hope you are doing good. Your personal
touch just makes it easy to follow your class…it’s a like a personal guru
who is watching you …ha ha ha
Preparatory poses are fabulous! I love this approach to yoga. Since the
last class I’ve been carrying the practice of not over-rotating my head
during twists and taking it off the mat, remembering it throughout my
day–not getting ahead of myself and focusing on the here and now. How much
simpler life is when you remember to do that! “Namaste Yoga” is a gift I
give myself that just keeps on giving–thank you Dr. Melissa!
Namaste–Barbara L.
You are kind π I just took a break since I am travelling but should get
back shortly from the hotel room π
Dear Serenity, it is true that through twists you are able to create much
space in your spine – you are quite intuitive in your practice. Keep
feeling deeply into your practice. I do have deep gratitude for my
teachers, without them I would not be teaching today. You too are a glowing
example of gratitude, the time you take to leave your comments and thanks
for the classes are so genuine and appreciative. Thank you for your
kindness. Namaste, Melissa
I’ll be watching for your comment Serenity. Here’s to getting back on
track. Staying the course is an ongoing process. π Namaste, Melissa
This series and, indeed, YOU have come to me just when I needed you. I’d
been curious about yoga but fearful. Your down-to-earth humanness makes the
practice of yoga come to life for me and makes it so accessible. Thank you,
thank you.
Definitely, spinal elongation is so important to the health of our overall
body and especially your inter vertebral discs! I would think that you
would be able to relax and release your muscles to gravity in a low lunge
more, whereas a high lunge would ask you to recruit your muscles more – so
it would be more of a strengthening exercise, so no, not really the same
intention at all π Thanks for your comments and intentions. Thank you for
your yoga. Namaste, Melissa
Okay so look forward to following Episode 175 :):) you are my favorite
guide π Thank you for keeping it real all the time. YOu are the best!
Starting next week I see myself being back on track
My first full week of yoga! Ever! After all the books, DVDs and classes I
have finally found something that works. Everything is really clearly
explained, I know what I’m supposed to do and why (where I should and
shouldn’t feel the stretch and what we are getting ready for). This helps
me overcome those fears that I’m not doing it right or that I will hurt
myself. Instead of fear I have shoulderstands and forward folds and
backbends which I thought were out of reach! THANK YOU!
You are welcome from Canada! Would love to come and visit your beautiful
country some day! Thank you for your yoga! Namaste, Melissa
Wow momma ur always beautiful and love seeing u stay in shape for being soo
young!!
Congratulations! I’m so happy you finally found something that works for
you π Keep up the great work … I hope you will help yourself to the
other beginner yoga videos on my channel (there is a playlist) and I’m sure
you’re ready to explore the many other offerings here as well. Keep in
touch and let me know how it goes. You are so very welcome. Thanks for
taking the time to leave your comments. Namaste, Melissa
Thank you Melissa for today’s class..Wow feels good after all the
twists..seems like some quarter of an inch space has been created. I have
been noticing this for a while and found it quite appealing about you…you
often mention your teachers/ Yoga institute..it shows your sincerity and
gratitude towards your teacher π You are truly living the principals…of
selflessness π Have a great evening.
Another perfect practice! Thank you Melissa!!!
Thanks to you again for introducing me to the Chakra…just researched a
bit on second chakra and found some real valuable information π
Lucky you! π Enjoy your down time and r&r π You deserve it. Take the time
to recharge your batteries. Time by the pool sounds fantastic! Great for
your second chakra π Have fun! Namaste, Melissa
You are more than welcome Serenity. I love the chakras and I’m grateful to
one of my first yoga teachers, Barbara Bruce for introducing me to the
chakras – so fascinating! This week’s Namaste Yoga (175) is going to be a
chakra balancing class as well! Yes, the 2nd chakra would reveal some
valuable information to you I can imagine! π Much love, Melissa
Thanks for the video! great idea for preparing my beginners class. π
