Nice car! Is it possible I saw your car 2-3 weeks ago at the Nurburgring?
There was one with this color and two other ones in white and burnt orange
(?) One day I hope to have one in Ardent Red. :-)

zltm089 says:

didn’t quite get what you said in the end, about the wheel caps?…sounds
like some serious security issue!….I also read that Lotus invalidates
their warranty if you take your car on track???!!!

Great review thanks!

Did you buy it direct from Lotus? How much were you able to get nocked of
the list price…. is there much room to manoeuvre with their dealers

zltm089 says:

good review!!!!…and nice piece of road at 4mins! …is this in the uk?

misegades says:

What a great review!

I think literally the ONLY thing about that car that I could think to
complain of is that it really doesn’t sound that great, which is a shame. A
gorgeous car deserves a gorgeous sound, which isn’t really the case with
this car. The fact that it’s an engine sourced from Toyota commuter cars is
very obvious, but I don’t think a person in this world could let that one
small item keep them from loving this car.

Lovely car, and nice to see it being used properly. Question, can it handle
small jumps on those single track roads in Wales and Scottish highlands
without causing severe damage at NSL or slightly above NSL? Scrapes to the
lip are expected obviously. Also, is there any undercarriage protection, or
is it just the bare aluminium chassis. Thanks.

Juma Ali says:

thank you.
what is the maintenance interval ?

Worth watching for the Sport 300 drive-by alone! Thanks for sharing

Great insights. I’m planning to get a normal V6 or Roadster in 3-4 years.
Makes it harder to wait ;)

Fizziac says:

Good review, would you say 3k miles under the belt is a minimum before
tracking the v6? I am currently at 1.3k and I have croft circuit just an
hour away….and damn its so tempting!

Martin Cross says:

Great review, toying with getting one.. Cheers

Geoff Hamilton says:

Hi Dr P. Terrific job with the video. I’ve a Cup on order (due soon) and
noted your comment about the larger FIA tank not being worth it. So, just
wanted to ask what level of petrol consumption do you get on a track day?

Robert Wolfe says:

What is attributable to the 500+ lb weight penalty from the previous Exige
Ss.
The V6 and revised rear subframe cannot add that much weight. My 2006 Elise
weighed 1860 supercharged and my 2008 Exige S240 weights 1950.
Thanks for the in depth review. I was expecting a typical “walk around”
type deal.

Robert Wolfe says:

How would this compare to the V6 Cup R?
