Hi Steve, I also have a 135R which I have had from new. It has done 234,000 miles (yes really!!) and is still on the original front wheel bearings that were fitted at the factory. The rear ones have been changed, but only within the last year and at around 220,000 miles.
The bearing packs on S2's are a GM part…. due to the low weight of the Lotus, they are very under stressed, especially at the front where there's no heat or torque from the drivetrain. Unless your car has done hyper mileage, I'm surprised it needs the bearing packs changed. The other point, always use GM / Lotus OE spec bearing packs, the savings by buying a non OE part isn't worth it.
Great video thanks. But I cannot find the rear wheel bearing part, is it available ??
