Thanks, I’ll cover this in future.
Thanks for the comment

Thanks for the comment (can’t reply to your comment for some reason)
I own a grinder but seldom use it and don’t have much knowledge but that’s
changed for the better since watching the video. I wasn’t aware of the
“shatter” possibility and this was especially useful to learn–not to
mention the expire dates stamped beside the arbor port/hole.
Thanks for sharing this…

Not many people do know about the expiry dates, but as part of my job we
have to do an Abrasive wheels course every couple of years or we are not
allowed to use grinders on site. Thanks for the comment ;-)
that was useful.. thanks
thanks very much,
you may very well have saved my fingers!!
tnks men i really need this information
Are middle holes in discs universal?
I am talking about a size of a hole in a disc which you tight with that
flange nut.
I am considering of buying pneumatic grinder/cutter from us ,will discs
from europe fit on it?
Also can you recommend a company that produces quality air tools that will
last ?
( I want to buy 1/2 / 13mm jacobs chuck drill,and a 90° angle
grinder/cutter -one for bigger discs 230mm and one for smaller 115mm )
So if someone with experience can recommend me company and model name.
Woksafe has a great video to demonstrate the importance of the guard and a
blade shattering. I changed my way of thinking after I saw that video
did not know about dates dose that be for all types of blades ? great vid
too
Finally a youtuber who understands the importance of the safeguard on an
angle grinder =D I’ve commented to a couple of metalworker youtubers about
the missing guard, but they don’t seem to care. I’ve used angle grinders on
metal for about 10 years now in all kind of awkward and tight spots and
never even thought of taking the guard off…
Hi, at 4:29, is there a face upward or backward for the grinding disc,
please? Thanks.
I have a healthy respect for grinders, seen a few near misses with them,
mangled fingers while changing a blade while still powered….
Sometimes the videos that I think are going to be the simplest turn out to
be the most interesting and IMPORTANT.
Never had the need to use an angle grinder but have always wanted to try
one, but I had no idea how much respect needs to be shown to such a tool.
Shattering discs at 11,000 rpm? No thanks! But you gave an excellent
tutorial there Chez and I hope it helps to save a few nasty injuries out
there. Very well done mate!
Brill vid mate
I had no idea discs had an expirey. That explains the little scars on my
forehead.
I also had no idea that the discs had an date on them! Thx dit sharing
Another brilliant video!
Nice video, very informative, people dont realize how dangerous these tools
can be, no face shield no guard no gloves wrong wheels for the wrong
device. Tip my hat from across the pond mate!
Thanks keep up the great work!

You’re very kind to share your expertise. You may have saved someone some
significant grief. Cheers!
Probably a silly question, but do you wear safety goggles with the
full-face visor?
Very best wishes for 2014
Thank you very much for this information.
I work in a small hardware store in the Prairies of Canada. I always love
your videos.
I had no idea about the “Best Before” date stamped onto the discs and the
hazards and Dangers of them disintegrating over time. A big thank you.
Didnt know about dates! Thanks
What do you think of a wire wheel attachment, which I’ve seen on YT for
removing metal rust
Sincere thanks, this video was much anticipated
Plenty of top tips for everyone. Many thanks and well done on another great
video.
Excellent video. Could you go over the different types of wheels and each
if their advantages (regular grinding wheel, flap wheel, ect.) I feel that
many people would benefit from that.
With the cutting disc, do you have to have the labeled side towards the
locking nut, or can it be the other way? I’ve allways been mountin it with
the labeled side the other way compared to what you did in this video.
If there is only one way, then why ?
angle grinders tend to go for the thigh and inner thigh when they get away.
A friend of mine almost bled to death when one got his artery on the inner
thigh. Leather apron or chaps minimize this. Work smart and minimize
chances of accident. Thanks for sharing big fella!
