More direct access but the ash does fall into the bowl by putting the coal
over the vents. Ive tried it, and you can start tasting the ash just like a
regular bowl, defeats the purpose.

It gives more direct access from the heat source to the Shisha, also in the
middle it will take longer to get going. 🙂
This way is pretty good, but 3 coals was way to much for me, had to drop it
down to 2 🙂
But its definitely worth the wait! Putting the coals over the vents defeats
the purpose of the lotus. ( ash falling onto the shisha)
What’s the point in putting the coals over the slots on the sides? I just
put them in the middle.

Not really because he vents are so small that very little ash will get
through.
I’ve been extremely fluff packing my shisha in the bowl up to about the
rim, but i’ll give this a shot tomorrow 🙂
