He calles this easy? The transmission swap kit cost more than this car
itself. Just trade for a manny or buy one.

03SilverMustangGT says:

It’s a lot easier to do on a car that already has factory option of coming
with a standard trans. Try this on a Chevy Avalanche.

Charles Cain says:

Tell me these educated idiots didn’t really think that Stacey was going to
put standard transmission parts into an automatic case, and it work. I
knew what he was doing before I clicked on the title. Some people just
gotta whine. Great video, shows that it doesn’t take major body mods to
convert to a standard.

mardamek says:

As much as I love manual transmissions, have to say this looked like a pain
in the butt, even with the editing. Imagine the cost involved, both
financial and time/labor. Would be easier to just find a car with a manual
transmission.

R C Nelson says:

When did manuals get bigger than automatics?

slimydick23 says:

That is so cool. I was too distracted by his hair to pay attention. But I
would love to get this done to my Jetta. But to be honest this would cost
more than just buying a car born that way.

Tow GodEastBay says:

I just love how he installs a $6500 dollar 6 Speed Transmission Kit, clutch
& all
in a $2500 dollar car.

esteblack says:

Didn’t really show anything and a scatter shield but you don’t dial it in?
Really Trans is gonna shift like crap and the white lightning shifter is
complete garbage leaks like crazy went through 3 finally just decided to
use the stock tremec one that came with my magnum and it’s shifts great.
Also everyone complaining that oh its too expensive get a tko or spend
months looking for a t56 off Craigslist hoping it’s not blown to hell. I’m
a full time student with bills and rent and was still available to afford
my ls3/t56 magnum for my 71 camaro just save up not too hard

CRAIG M. JOHNSTON says:

I just got done with a rebuild of a1978 400 chevy small block went to put
the exhaust manifolds back on and the bolts dont line up how can that be?

Daniel Peters says:

5.0 mustangs are easy to work on. Make a video on a manual transmission
conversion for a 05 F-150.

robtito12 says:

Somehow I feel like he’s trolling. “It’s that easy”

King Kangaroo says:

how did that body style become the fox body style?

Corncob Bob says:

Poor choice of words for the title. He converted a car from auto to manual,
not a transmission…

hogsandsooners says:

There sure are a lot of whiners on here. Watch the video for entertainment.
If you can afford to do the conversion and would like to, do it. If you
don’t have the cash, keep the automatic. If you must have a standard, but
can’t afford the conversion, trade for a standard. If you don’t have a car
to convert and are not likely to then don’t comment. There was nothing in
the title that said this conversion was cheap. If is relatively easy, if a
little time consuming. I’m sure he didn’t mean easy enough for someone of
below average skill or without tools/equipment.

Naive says:

how much for a kia forte koup 2010

Alex Cui says:

Wait, new drive shaft?

john smith says:

If you have to do any time consuming work under the dash, just pull the
seat out. Usually 4 bolts and takes like 5 minutes and makes everything so
much easier.

joedell71 says:

To bad this is out of the realm of the home mechanic. That tremec trans by
itself is over 3 grand then probably another grand for the shifter and all
ancillary parts.

matthew pruitt says:

I dont even bother watching these shows anymore. Everything that they do
is so damn expensive the average guy would never do it. Even when they say
for the average guy, its way way too much. The average guy would go to the
salvage yard and grab a 5 speed, or at most a rebuilt one….craigslist…
you get the point. Never would we buy a transmission setup more expensive
than the car itself!

pavel1809 says:

awesome video lol

kermitefrog64 says:

Now if I could only do that with my 1980 Mercedes Benz 240-D and get rid of
the automatic.

MustangFlow says:

You cut that brand new x pipe…

dextteraney says:

how much would all these parts cost ~~ ?

Antonio Ortiz says:

I wanna see this done to a charger since they only have them in automatic,
or a chevy SS from the U.S.
