If you have a low sports car, I’m sure you’ve experienced that dreaded sound of scraping as you entered a steep driveway or pulled out from a parking lot at the wrong angle. This is an even bigger problem on a Lotus Elise or Exige where the front bumper is part of a single, expensive clamshell. In this video, I’ll show you how to install skid plates to protect and avoid damaging the clamshell on your Lotus. A similar technique can be used for the bumpers on other cars.

the front splitter that you removed doesn't look like it hit the ground at all.. are there obvious chips or cracks in it? i always marvel at cars that are even lower than the Elise at cars and coffee events that somehow have perfectly undamaged splitters.
Nice! Thanks for sharing a great solution… may do same. Got to thinking you may not need much tape (to ease removal) since they’ll generally be in compression or shear.
