Are the different types of fill valves and floats interchangeable? For example, this one slides up and down the vertical piece. Mine has a little bulb that rises at an angle a few inches away from the vertical, some have a big bulb on a long arm.
This video fixed my problem in a minute. I wish I had found it sooner since most of the videos address the flush valve seal replacement. This is the only video I found d that really fixed the problem. Thank you. I hope more people can find it.
I’m doing this for the first time and all the videos I found didn’t specify the part about breaking the piece off the rubber washer. I was sitting here for like ten minutes contemplating just doing it but I was lacking confidence lol. Anyway thank you

If you have to adjust the height after you’ve installed it you better turn the water off to it.
