LG Washing Machine Not Draining? How to Fix | Error Code OE Quick Fix and you CAN do it yourself

After a bit of troubleshooting, I did some research and found the lint screen was clean, the drain tube was not obstructed, which led me to replacing the drain pump. The repair itself is super easy. I ended up purchasing the part off of amazon for my washer.

This is for the specific machine model: WM3770HVA
The replacement drain pump is from LG (these apparently last longer than aftermarket). Just look up the model of your washer and make sure it’s listed as compatible on the pump you purchase.

Repair Steps

1. Unplug the power
2. Unscrew the two screws at the top to remove the top lid (Also turn off the water at the spigots that go to your washing machine)
3. Remove the Lid
4. After removing your detergent dispenser/drawer, remove two screws
5. Remove the top screw that attaches the control plate at the front of the washer
6. Remove the plate on the front of the washer to access the drain hose (make sure it is drained) and then remove the plate
7. There is a wire ring that goes around the washing drum area to hold it in place, you want to expand this spring some with needle nose pliers and remove that to get access to the locking latch inside
7. Remove the locking latch and unplug
8. Remove the front screws at the top of the front panel and bottom , then take off the front panel
9. After getting access unplug the hose clamps with needle nose pliers and remove the hoses
10. Remove drain pump plate and wires
11. Unscrew the pump
12. Replace pump
