What went wrong with your old Cluster ? I have a 2009 Dodge Journey. I think my Cluster is non operative because none of the Instrument gauges nor digital instrument panel digital lights. On my steering Column the Wipers will not go off, non operative controls, I cant control the Head Lights, Non operative, but the Cruise Control still works. Can I do the same with a Dodge Journey ?

if your instrument cluster go out in a 2001 Lincoln Town Car your vehicle will not start the anti theft system light will be flashing very fast do not take it to the dealer they're going to try to charge you $1,000 to reprogram a new one buy one from the junkyard put your motherboard in the new one the instrument cluster Park off 2995 at the junkyard it should fix your problem the way you know it's your instrument cluster if you have a digital gas gauge and there's a line and is not reading the gas it's a good chance the clusters gone out but if the gauges are not working your anti theft system is connected to that your cluster your vehicle will not start

Gary Spooner says:

You will eventually have the same problem with the jumping needles or not working scenario.. Transplanting one defective board with another in the future defective one will not fix that problem… Suggest finding out why the board is failing in the first place.. Give it about 2 years..

Michael Mosley says:

Great video, very well done. The problem for most DIY's is how to get all the plastic off to get to the gauge cluster without breaking it !!

Ric Mirto says:

As a Ford technician, who gets paid to program these, I have to say, that's pretty slick that's. Pretty decent, I have always said they charge to much for the reprogramming. Wtg sir….. Btw I like to eat……

Ha, ha. I thought I'd read the title to this video wrong when I saw who posted it, lol. Ya done good Kenny! And ya didn't even have to shoot this FORD/MERCURY with one of your pellet guns, because your little trick worked like a charm!  🙂
