I have a 1996 ford crown victoria and my turn signals do not work. But high
beams work and my wipers work on all settings, also my hazard lights work
fine, but not my turn signals. Whst could the problem be?

1999 lincoln town car….. problem is the turn signals didnt want to work i
had to move the steering column up all the way and that fix it but now i
have to move the turn signal switch up and down and it only work some times
do i have to replace the switch?…and i move the steering column to hard
now the miles in the dash are flickering if i hit the dash it fix the miles
for a couple of seconds
Will this apply to a 1998 Lincoln Towncar also? My wipers went out. I dont
know if it is the motor or the switch.
r u replaceing this because the highbeam is touchy cause mine high beam is

only difference was that there are 7mm bolts where the T20 Torx bolts are
in the video. This job took about 40 minutes.
You may want to inspect the switch to see if it’s heating up and needs to

my turn signals work…my prob is i can hear motor for wipers but they only
move a couple inches, delay wipers went out before reg wipers quit
completely any ideas? thanx…
The switch is normally what controls high beams. The issue might be that it
is just a worn out connection and just needs to be changed out.
Excellent video! My wipers turn on and off without the wiper switch being
activated. Isn’t there a module controller in addition to the lever switch?

So if your windshield wipers park in the up position will that fix the
problem?
You may want to check the fuses and also the brake light switch, to see if
it’s working correctly. Hope this helps you out.

I have a p71 that’s I just bought, it fail state inspection because the
high beams wont stay on when the lever is forward but if I hold it back
they work. Could this be because of the switch??
will this also fix ur turn signals not canceling when u make a turn?
If it’s the switch that has gone bad, then it should fix the problem.
So that you can take the ignition cylinder out to service the wiper switch.
just one question why did u take out the ignintion and why dint u pull that
panel on the left next to the steering colum for more room

It sounds like something could be wired wrong, or you may want to look for
a cross connection of possible pinched wire.
Great video..I own a 2003 Crown Victoria. My problem is no headlights. Any
help will be greatly appreciated. I was told it’s the multi switch, but i’m
not sure. The reason I think it’s the multi switch is one time the lights
went out but came back on when i used the signal lights.
If there’s a short in the switch wich was causing the issue, than this
might resolve the problem for you.
It should, the lever inside of your original one is more likely worn out.
well i did this on my 03 grand marquis and my wipers only work when i press
the switch to make the liquid spray on the glass and at first i thought it
was the switch so i pulled it back out and got another one and im still
having the same problem what do i do

@slednck3 You need to pull the ignition in order to remove the turn signal
switch, on this application. The other panel didn’t need to be removed.
Okay I brought the switch filled your steps, they were very helpful, but
when I put the switch in an test it, there still was no high beams. I
traced a green wire from the driver side lamp up to the from passenger side
under the hood and there are cut wires along with the green one. Could that
be the problem if so what do I do??
love your video. i have a 2003 police interceptor, the brake lights dont
work but the third brake light and all turn signals and night time lights
work. the right turn signal flashes faster than normal. i checked fuses,
bulbs and brake pedel switch and they are good. does this look like i need
to change the multifuction switch?
I just did this job in under an hour. ( turn signal switch would not
cancel, spring broke inside) This is a great video thanks it saved me about
$150-$200. The only thing i did different was I took the trim off the
steering column first, then took out the ignition cylinder out. I thought
it was easier to see the little button you have to push to remove it.

You will have to splice the wires together to make a proper connection.
Hi, great video, I subbed just because of this video. I was wondering how
similar this would be on a 96 Grand Marquis? I have a problem where my
passenger brake light randomly won’t light up but when i wiggle the turn
signal switch it lights up. I have little experience on doing electrical

2001 Lincoln Town Car. If the wipers AND washer quit at the same time, is
it the switch?
