Thanks for posting this. I heard a vacuum leak, but couldnt find the leak. I seen this ran outside to look and sure enough that was the leak! The hole was on the bottom of the hose, making it hard to spot. Thanks, saved me some time!

Now that I know I helped someone it made the work of making a video a little easier. I have a video of the quick release tool if you need to work on your air conditioner.

I too have a 1995 Lincoln Towncar, and got the dreaded P0174 error. The error was that my engine would try to die when i came to a stop light or stop sign. I pulled the PCV and hose assembly and took it to Autozone where the guy just cut me off a piece of oil tubing for free. I replaced the hose, reset the computer, and took it for a test drive. No issues. I simply Google’d “0174 Towncar”, and your video came right up. Thank you so much.

I am suspecting that I have a similar issue. I have a similar code on my ranger, bank one too lean. So I am assuming I have a vacuum leak. I just don’t know where. I don’t hear any whistling. Also, I have replaced the IAC and cleaned the MAF.
