Here’s a quick and easy way to see if you have a bad AC compressor clutch. Simply turn the unit on if the clutch has engaged and spinning that means the compressor and clutch are working however, sometimes if you shut them off, they hung. The clutch should spin independently from the pulley. If you give it a little whack here like I do. After shutting off the climate control unit and turning it back on. You can notice the clutch was not engaging and only engaged when I tapped on it. So the problem is the A/C compressor clutch. And 90% of all situations is easier just replacing entire unit. Simple fast and accurate diagnostics!

I have a 2016 Wrangler that’s blowing hot air when the ac is on.. the heat works just fine as well. my compressor doesn’t spin at all. I wonder if that’s my problem
Got a 07 ford fusion. Went to turn on AC today and it had a weird smell and was pushing out warm air out the vents instead of cold. Used a Gauge and said it was low on refrigerant so I filled it but still having the same issue minus the smell right now. I'm thinking compressor or clogged drain line?
Would it also cause smoking if on for too long because that is what happen to me
What if my compressor turns on and off when ac is on? It lasts like 10 seconds on and then turns off for another 10 and on again over and over. And blows no air at all . Is that a bad compressor?
