Thanks for the tips on the blue clip. It saved me a ton of time! As for the other connector, I was able to get a plastic tool from the parts store for $2.99. The metal fitting came off almost instantly. For a treat, empty the fuel filter into a glass jar (reverse flow)…after 117k miles mine looked like gritty coffee!

Nice job. I appreciate the lesson.

Have 03′ expedition just changed fuel filter..same layout as navigator ..clips were a bit harder to get in sprayed wd40 went right in..plus expedition has 3 lines to take off not two..he’s right have the bucket it handy 350 a gallon you can spill 1/2 gallon doing this unless you release fuel pressure by the Hood.

sissy545 says:

If the clicking is near the passenger side back door, it could be coming from the rear AC compressor (underneath the cup holder in my Expedition). I have that issue in my 2004 Expedition.

Edgar Arriaza aka Walmart says:

Would this make my Navigator stall and turn my engine light on?
I’m having problems with my Navi as I drive on the highway and I hear a click on the back near the back door?
Thanks

The service guy at Firestone told me our”04 expedition did not have a fuel filter except for the one on the fuel pump. It located the same place as in your video.

Thanks for sharing this video.. I changed my filter following your instructions. There was a lot more fuel than I expected and the clips were on there a little tighter than I assumed. But overall, awesome! New filter!

Alfredo709able says:

Thanks, for the video. Now I can change my filter!
