My 1992 1500 4.3 heater is blowing cold air, I changed out the water pump,
thermostat and heater core. The blend system works properly and with the
engine hot the hoses to and from the heater core are cold. The only thing I
haven’t done is to check the switch on the dash. Is there a valve in the
engine compartment that can be checked.

warm up making it hard for me to drive because the windows are fogging up .
Would you possible know what maybe wrong?

Hi, I have a 2003 Trailblazer LS 4×4 4.2 6 cylinder. I recently had the
coolant system flushed and a new thermostat installed, yet I’m still

water pump has some slack and the fan clutch was damaged. Would those be
reasons for still not getting cold air?? Thanks for your time!

Innovative Transport Group, Inc, says:

my big rig cab heating is not working properly. The temperature guage
doesn’t rise while the truck is moving but it rises at idle or when then
the tuck is parked. The bunk/sleeper area will heat but the front driver’s
area will not. There are dual controls . Coolant Levels are normal and I
don’t see any leaks of coolant anywhere. Any idea what my problem may be? I
am guessing thermostat or water pump but don’t want to waste money paying
for a mechanic/shop to guess at it.

no heat 2010 ford explorer v6 replaced thermostat, put fluid through heater
core flows freely in both directions, but when engine is running return
line just trickles out checked for restictions from thermostat housing to
the core and it is clear, engine runs at normal temp not overheating the
only thing I can figure is the waterpump is not putting out enough
pressure? I am at my wits end ready to get rid of the vehicle.

Clayton Goede says:

so I have a 2009 Silverado with less than 60k miles on it. When I turn the
knob for warmer air, nothing changes, the air temp comin from the vents
doesn’t change. The A/C works fine, it will get colder with that on. Is
this an electrical issue?

david newhams says:

If you don’t have any heat… 1 top off the coolant. 2 replace the
thermostat. 3 back flush the heater core with a garden hose. Good indicator
of a clogged heater core is heat only at higher rpm. You only get heat at
high rpm because the system is still forcing some hot coolant into the core
but it quickly cools because its not being cycled properly.

Cody Fargo says:

I have a 96 gmc 5.7 liter pickup. My problem is I have no heat at all. I
took it too goodyear and they automatically assumed it was the heater core
without even checking the thermostat. They put coolant in and it some what
worked but they went back cold again. We don’t have the money too put a
core in. What’s the easiest way too do it and get heat so we can move
