1:25 I said put o ring in. On my 95 it was 8mm for bolts. Also mine does
not have a bleader valve. Also, I think they started using the valve thing
on later modles.
Just did mine, umm didn’t actually used these direction. i removed housing
and replaced it. still over heating. so i guess it wasnt the thermostat.
gonna replace the water pump next, but before i do, going to let all the
air bubble out of the hoses making sure is not the water pump.
I gotta 95 Mark VIII & I’ve tried to take that coolant cap off, but its
seized on there.. is there a trick to get it off, or will I haf ta replace
the whole mechanism?
Now lets see how you burp the coolant system after replacing the
thermostat; I’m still catching hell with mine O.O Great vid, thanks! I
needed it because I was “where’s my thermostat? Ahhhh!”
just bought a 98 lincoln mark v111..overheated fast..changed thermastat 2
times”…still overheatin..but not asquickly…but will cool down with
heater on,buggin out”.thanks
bolts on thermostat housing are 10mm. According to the manual, the o-ring
goes on top of the thermostat. I tried your method and it leaked. I suggest
people put o-ring on top. Bleeder vale on thermostat faces engine.
No problem man. How did you find the video?
Did you try vice grips, and bp blaster?
Thanks guy. That was very helpful…
I would try to berp it first, by the re-fill procedure it is located on the
engine compartment somewhere, also in the owners manual.
