Where about is your shop?

2012nugget says:

@abcfisher1 The right bank is sometimes misstook for the left, if your in
the drivers seat your looking at it correctly. The main problem with these
engines lies on the left bank, in front of driver, with it burning the
valves. On the right side and just one cylinder?

brando smith says:

Hey nice work on the video i am about to replace a driver side valve cover
on my 98 navigator and cant find anything to get close too what i need for
the valve cover if you have a video that is close to it or can give me any
heads up i would appreciate the help doing hte job in 2 days and it is the
first year lincoln came out with the navigator so not sure what they

Hung Le says:

Can you please tell me what cause the coil bottom where it plug in the
spark plug turn to brown sign like been burn. The top part of it got some
sticky oil close to the very top where the electronic build in side.

2012nugget says:

If not alot, you have no problem.

Hung Le says:

Thanks so much for the helpful video. I follow the instruction.I changed my
fuel injector, coils, valve cover gasket, spark plugs and pcv valve. I got the
check engine light off drove test for 3hrs it was driving smooth. Suddenly
I stop at the light then it just shutt down on me. Crank it up and running
again. Is it cause by the coolant water get in those valves’ hole that
havent completly dry off or something else wrong? Appreciate all the helps.
Thanks again. It still running good now.

2012nugget says:

The side with the skip is the bad head more than likely. Part two of the
video covers how to check for the bad valves after it is off. Usually the
drivers side, rear two cylinders, or two intake and two exaust valves.

Hung Le says:

Yes I disconnected the Battery before I do the job.it was shut off once
since then it fine since.

olbeast says:

So I got a pressure tester from autozone and a see snake camera and it
looks like the seam on back of the head is moist but it’s so tight I can’t
see exactly where it is starting from and from what I can see with the
camera the valley is dry.My plan is to take the upper intake off to get a
better look.My question is does the upper intake have coolant running
through it or just the bottom?

Sorry, been out of town.

2012nugget says:

3 would do it ! Thanks Nashville !

2012nugget says:

No , no assembly video, just reverse procedure. Thanks alot for your
comments and have a good one ! If I have a chance i’ll post a video showing
the rear bolt removal ! Good to hear ways of improving the video.

2012nugget says:

Sometimes the memory in the cars computor looses the program used to keep a
smooth idle and takes a little while to reprogram or remember how. It is
best to crank it and let it idle in drive for 5 minutes, shut it down and
repeat anytime the battery is disconnected to let it reprogram. I hope
thats all it was, if it is it should be just fine now.

ghostman64 says:

Excellent work on the video

Hung Le says:

I took the Valve cover both side off. The passenger side is BrOwny and the
Driver side is totally clean shinny metal. I dont know which side is bad?
And which valve need to be repair?

2012nugget says:

Did you disconnect the battery when doing the job ? Also check the vacc.
hose going to the pcv at the throttle body, it is known for breaking there
and a vacc. leak could do it as well.

abcfisher1 says:

Thanks for the video- I replaced my valve cover gaskets and installed new
plugs and could not have done it without your video. For some reason I now
have a miss on the right bank. Trying to sort it now. Any ideas? I did
change 2 coils and replaced all coil boots. Think a fuel injector could be
the problem? Should I replace them and all coils?

Hyembej1 says:

“shitloads of experience” – this is very important!

2012nugget says:

Sounds like the coil is going bad, can you send a photo of it ?

Damien Rios says:

so much easier on my 2003 lancer. now off to the shop with my head to get
that done

2012nugget says:

Blow out or burn out ? Yes the torque is alright and anti seize is allways
good. As far as getting to the rear two on that side, it isn’t that easy
but can be done of course. You may have to move some hoses and things out
of your way but the best way for me is to install a set of eyes on my
fingers and feel my way…lol, sorry it isn’t an easy solution.

zack says:

i like how you say its gona be a cylinder head alot more can be wrong or
something small just because its common doesnt mean its the problem all the
time

SUZUKlRlDER says:

00:20 … I don’t think that came out like it was intended.

2012nugget says:

Keep me informed, glad to help if I can.

2012nugget says:

You cant see them but you can get the proper extension length and socket on
them, then attach the rachet to break them loose. I use 1/4 drive in that
tight space.

Hung Le says:

I had them change twice this years. First time I changed 2 that had brown
like burning! Run for couple months then it happened again. So I changed
the whole set. Run up till today then cyl 6-7 misfire.
