This filter goes under the PCV valve and can cause oil leakage problems if clogged. I have since put in a new one.

I was able to get my screen out without taking the valve cover off. I took
a long narrow screw and threaded into the screen just far enough and was
just able to pull it out.
Chad that is an awesome watch! 🙂 cool and interesting stuff as usual.
Leave it to Ford to turn what is usually a two minute task into a two hour
task. This has to be one of the dumbest setups I’ve ever seen for something
that needs replacement on a regular basis.
Yea those PCV grommets gradually open wider making a loose fit.
Thanks you really helps me a lot what my 89
I actually went ahead and ordered a new grommet and PCV valve just to be
sure they’d be good and put the new grommet in.
Good idea!
im glad to see your back chad! whats the news with that savoy? and hows the
5th ave doing?
Thank you! The 5th Ave. has been good but I needed to put a new starter in
and I took it to a brake shop and got some brake problems fixed. I took the
intake manifold off of the Savoy but I still haven’t made more progress on
it. Our Retro Electronics 360 Dodge truck ended up with coolant pouring
straight into the crankcase and it got taken to a repair shop so hopefully
the problem they find with it will give me more insight into the Savoy’s
problem.
Nice ride man
oh that evil thing. Nobody knows that part is there, and it never gets
changed.
its not old it just take a lost more love to keep it happy.
I was able to use a pair of needle nose pliers and bend the tabs up so I
could grab hold of it with the pliers.
What did you use to get the PCB screen out
★★★★★ I really like the videos you make about your vehicles.
oh, is the grommet still pliable? its supposed to be soft. if it feels more
like rock than rubber, it should be replaced as well. The one I pulled out
of my Mark VII was so hard I was able to stand on it without it deforming.
Then it shattered. Rubber is not supposed to shatter.
