While browsing a Griot’s Garage catalogue searching for Christmas gifts for
my dad, I stumbled upon 118dB horns from Hella. I thought about installing
them in protest of the whole circumstance, but I thought better of it
later. Close on the Crown Vic. The mileage is significantly lower than
that! The question is: Is that a good thing, or a bad thing? Stay tuned to
find out.

i think youre entitled to ask at least another $100 for the car just for
the repair!

guessing 35k miles on the crown vic? horn “not loud enough?” sometimes
inspectors are unreasonable. years ago for kicks, i went to a junkyard to
get the 4-note horn from a big body pre-2000s GM (sounds like a train) to
put in an MGB i had at the time. well, the MGB had a weird negative ground
horn system, and ultimately nowhere to mount them, so i ended up putting
them in my daily ford taurus. the “state” (wash DC) inspector never said
anything. but it was a lot of fun to honk at people!
