He took out the instrument cluster and changed 3 little cylindrical shaped
capacitors (soldering required). They are 4.7uF 25V then 10uF 50V then 10uF
16V. You can buy then @ Mousier or Digikey.com for a few cents. To fix the
needles, you simply need to twist on or attach a small wire from base to
tip of needle.

Incidentally, the ECU often has a similar problem where about 10 capacitors
need to be replaced. The engine will not rev very high and the trans will
only be in 3rd gear unless you physically put selector in L or 2.

i know how to fix it it takes a lil time maybe a hr or so if u can use a
soldering iron.. i can show you or ..but does anybody know where to order
the needles for the ls400 93 and up
