Lexus IS250 IS350 coolant temperature sensor removal and install. Lexus overheating issues

Denso Temp Sensor IS250/IS350 https://amzn.to/3uvFUDb
My 2007 Lexus IS250 temp sensor stopped working and my Lexus started have problems, running weird and getting less gas mileage. In this video I will show you how to remove the old temperature sensor from the IS250 and install a brand new one. A temperature sensor is very important because it tells the ECU when to turn the fans on and prevents your car from overheating and helps to maintain the correct engine operating temperature. This video is a little old, but I have been very busy and did not have the time to edit. Be sure to like the video and leave a comment below. Thanks!

I had a question my 2008 Lexus is350 started over heating no check engine light , I changed the water pump, put brand new coolant and it still over heating , the thermostat seems to be good , what else could it be

John J. Rambo says:

on the tube that come from engine and goes to engine i had a little oil on the connection is that bad

Poetify says:

Hey! Love your videos on the IS250 & it’s what made me subscribe. I have a question. I heard recently that IS250’s have a common issue of carbon buildup. Have you come across this? Or know if this is true? And if so, is there a way to prevent or treat it? Also, would it be really costly to do so? Thanks in advance!

Hey brother your video was very helpful no problem changing thanks to you video thanks brother

Kelo BITCH says:

I replaced my water pump, radiator & thermostat my car is still overheating lexus is250

KryptoPB says:

i have an 08 GS350 that overheats at some stops (doesn’t always do it). i’ve replaced the water pump, thermostat, housing unit, and am replacing the radiator and fans in 2 days. i want to replace this as well as sometimes i think the fans don’t always kick on and that’s what causes the idling overheating issue. this video gave a pretty good general idea of the layout so appreciate it big time

s.q says:

Your issue actually sounds like the fuel pressure sensor. I had the same thing happen on my GS 350 where I couldn’t communicate with the ECU and the car would stall out and not start. After replacing that it started right up.

Ayo Zero says:

I’m not sure if this is what I need to do or not. My temp has been going up and down and I was led to this video. When I get on the gas it regulates itself and cools down but at idle and lights it seems to heat up and not like it very much nor do I watching the temp go up. Please let me know if you can if you think this sensor could be the root of all evil wreaking havoc on my driving experience. Thank you and have a nice day!

Goat 408 says:

Bro… so I just did this about a week ago. You made it look so dang easy. It took me 5 hours to do this job. Although I’m a novice, I got it done.

So a couple of things for the people watching that I did different. I didn’t take of the throttle body. I took off the exhaust manifold so I could see it. For about 2 hours I was doing it blind. I should’ve used the wrench/socket set up he had. I don’t have all the cool tools he had.

I actually bought a small socket wrench to get it out. Once I got it out there was still a piece of the sensor still in the engine! The socket wouldn’t stay on. It was ridiculous! I finally got it out and worked backwards to put it back in.

Like the video, my check engine light was still
On. So I changed the thermostat. And it’s was gone. I should’ve checked that first.

Well at least I have a new sensor!
