RL Studios says:

How can I do this install and still keep my CD changer? Also does the V-line unit itself lets you adjust the EQ?

Rick Stephan says:

If the USPS delivers, I'll be reinstalling my GROM VLine 2 later today (in the same GX470 CD changer location as you). "Reinstalling" you say? Yes – reinstalling – because my unit failed after I recently attempted a Software update followed by a Firmware update (using a Setting page). The former succeeded, and the latter apparently killed the unit. Moral of this short story?
When navigating though your settings, don't bite on the 'Firmware Upgrade Available' bait. Pretend that your unit, your instruction manual, and your settings page all say:
"Please DO NOT update the firmware unless you were instructed to do so by one of our tech specialists." See the fine print at https://gromaudio.com/software.html

Nice video, we watch all your stuff. Can you do a follow up with a close up view of the screen and the maps feature as well as the reverse camera. The reason we didn't do this model was the directions indicated that, for Google Maps and other apps to work, you need it to be tethered to your phone for WiFi? If maps works w/o you being connected to a phone that is a HUGE plus!

From VLine: https://gromaudio.com/blog/2018/09/how-to-get-internet-to-car/ "If you are VLine infotainment system user, you need internet connectivity for your VLine system to access Google or Waze Maps along Spotify, Pandora, and other Web Radio Apps while driving."

This is on of the remaining mods on our GX and not sure if we want to do the full "tesla" screen or this.

I used to have a vline system in my IS350. It was nice to enable Apple play but there were times when it wouldn’t display video to the screen. Glad you installed it in that readily accessible spot because you will need to unplug power every now and then.
I went with the BT-TOY adapter with both the LX and GX as all I really needed was Bluetooth audio.
