Dominic Guo says:

Haha, I have the 2.5L version of the Mazda3. I love it.

Sebastian Lopuszynski says:

a hybrid is not the way to attract young buyers haha

bottomlayer says:

We don’t get the B-class down here, nor do we get the Acura CSX!!!! I’d
LOVE to get a CSX Type-S, and the B-class is pretty cool too.

Banana Tiger says:

younger buyers will always go for small cars and when they need some badge
they will go for audi BMW and other luxury brands. So rather than saying
Lexus aiming for change. They are just lauching more models that goes head
to head with the Germans. you know Audi A3s etc.

bottomlayer says:

I hope they offer a sunroof on the new MS3

Jordan Segura says:

except the IS-F

abimhd says:

Buick is NOTHING… you can’t compare it with Lexus for God sake… you are
so full of SH*T…

Jonathan Crenshaw says:

which model are you referring to as a “sub-compact”? The IS250 is around
$32,000 the ES starts around the mid $35K and the GS is in the mid $40K
range. I would buy a GS if I were in the market for a midsize this is the
same range as an E class or a 5 series bmw and those start in the high $40
to mid $60K.

Elmo187 says:

actually, no, i mean the STS. the STS directly competes with the 7-Series.
now if you’re talking about the 760Li, then yes, that’s a direct competitor
to the SLS since they’re long-wheelbase cars. the 760i and S63 AMG aren’t
the long-wheelbase versions is my point. go check the dimensions on all 3
cars and you’ll see what i’m talking about.

S.A.S says:

Damn the Cayenne might have been a cool car if the kept the original
interior :

jrs89 says:

I don’t get how anyone could seriously design that. I mean I understand
what they’re trying to do for the sake of performance, but the design…
dear god!

Jonathan Crenshaw says:

yeah i don’t see any 20-30 olds driving lexus cars around town… (sarcasm)
comparing lexus to buick is ridiculous! quality versus shit!

neoperseus says:

I’m not too surprised by the chrome tips option. I see Orange county soccer
moms in blinged out range rovers (full chrome grills and so on) all the
time. Shiny and expensive has equaled tasteful and classy in the recent
years . I’m almost happy this economic downturn is going to put some of the
new money nascar types out of the high end car market. I don’t want to see
a carbon fiber rear winged bentley azure driven by a building contractor
any time soon.

Diu Nei says:

agreed…. however, the latest IS series, has been seperated completely
with Toyota line-up as well as other model cause Lexus brand has officially
been on sale in Japan domestic market now. So from now on you’ll see less
and less rebadge product between Lexus/Toyota.

prodigy1210 says:

Derek I love your show man! Keep it up! As for the Lexus. Only those who’s
balls sag must drive it. I would never drive that car. It feels like an old
persons car much like eating at country kitchen buffet. Lexus should stick
to their market of old people. After all, they also need cars 😛

Camoz20 Gaming says:

I test drove many cars in the same prize range as the mazda 3 i felt i
drove much better than the other cars and more power. I did get the more
luxury model but not the 2.5ltr one. i did test drive it and it was so much
more better than the 2.0ltr engine.

coolerdude44 says:

don’t even get me started on that pos csx. we do have it idiot, it’s called
the civic si, and that whole brand called acura is a joke.

UNBOXINGCAR says:

this show suck, Lexus rules, that’s all.

cobra8yah says:

you are right, but it is one of the quickest

a41forsaken says:

what kind of crack do u smoke? diesel is shit for torque

twistedsting says:

no douche? if i dont like a certain part of the car but the car itself why
not slap on a simple front body bumper that could be to your liking

CUSTOMADE13 says:

damn…flip flops…my eyes

Diu Nei says:

Lexus of course does good lately, IS-C, RX450h, HS250h… as well as the
soon tobe released fastback model. It’s not an uncommon sign since BMW
introduces 1series to attract younger buyers an as well as M-Benz B
class… so it won’t appears to only older folks for those old german
brand… instead start buying Lexus..

AccidentallyFunny says:

I think everyone knows Mazda 3 competes with the Corolla & Civic, there was
too much stress over the fact that it’s an average car, and less focus on
pointing out other features. You guys also reviewed what looks to be the
very bottom line 3… Why not something a little nicer? The higher trims
are night and day in difference in comparison.

TornTech says:

what song is it at 5:08

George gronge says:

that porsche is unreal

TVRFan11 says:

Chrome exhaust tips? How long before we see a rolls with lime green paint,
a dragon decal, 72 different speakers and TVs in it, farting itself down
the road thanks to the riceburner under it? Or how about a solid chrome
rolls “ridin dirty” in a pack of civics. What is the world coming to? Say
it aint so.

bottomlayer says:

What’s not to like about diesel? Musclecar torque, hybrid fuel-efficiency,
and more reliable than either. W123’s last forever The C230 is more
luxurious than the Sprinter! While they don’t fit in the luxury car
bracket, they do get young people into their respective brands to move up
the ladder. And (most of them) are really fun, too!

undecidedend02 says:

lexus should just take every popular toyota, put in luxurious interiors
give them different names, and jack up the prices a lot. that will probably
sell millions.

Elmo187 says:

really? there’s no such thing as a hybrid sports car? i’ve seen plenty of
Mustangs with Chevy engines and Camaros with Ford engines. i’ve also seen
an Aston Martin engine in a Mustang. those are considered hybrids.

konaisdabomb says:

no its not a good way for lexus because what younger people will buy
hybrid? except for those green nerd fag

Pat Woo says:

to have more overhang is not a good thing in a car…… Who told you
shorter wheel base = better performance?

Pyroscopy says:

then how do the DTS and the STS differ with your comparison chart when the
CTS is a midsize? STS = full sized? DTS = Luxury?

zeroswings2 says:

Lexus is a ‘luxury’ division, and the folks who happen to be able to afford
them are the older crowds-not necessarily geriatric, but in the stage of
their lives where they can have nicer stuff-if Lexus tries to appeal to
younger people I don’t think it will work. That’s what Toyota is for…

TheSanjay27 says:

My 16 year old friend just got a Mazda3. It is pretty nice but I completely
agree that the front styling just doesn’t cut it. Other than that, it’s a
good car.

kamraman123 says:

hahahaha loved that impression of the mazda 3 “zoom zoom!” hahahaha
brilliant

juan escobar says:

Lexus blows goats.

Spaceghost272 says:

What about the IS series market that was directly marketed to the younger
crowd. The 1st gen IS300 which I actually have with its “supra” power-base
is a perfect example. And now the IS-F which is Lexus’s example of a
performance car.

Elmo187 says:

the DTS and STS are larger fullsize cars. also, that would most likely
explain why Cadillac will be ridding of both the STS and DTS to make one
car named the XTS.

Jadoogarr says:

that mazda is smiling 🙂

c0c0asauce says:

chrome was probably on the first rolls….
