Replacing the brake booster on a 2001 Lexus IS300.

Owner says the car been sitting for a couple months. It was hard to stop when pressing the brake and it had a rough idle while braking.

A hissing noise could be heard inside the car while braking. It was the brake booster that had a vacuum leak so an internal seal is broken, the intake manifold was sucking air from the booster causing it to idle rough.

thank you for being the only guy smart enough to show the hard part everyone needs to see and that is the way to remove and reinstall the under dash connections. all the other videos guys have just show the under the hood part which anybody can see how that goes.

Excellent video by the way watched it a few times before I tried it only problem I had was the one I ordered didn't fit it was too big. So I had to put the old one back in. Guess I have good practice for when I find one finally.

Jermaine Andrews says:

Where'd you order the new brake booster? I can't find one in stock online and no local shops have it.
