Hey guys, there’s some people who own stereo shops on here talking smack!
Don’t listen to them, they’re just mad that someone is teaching them how
easily it really is to install a car amplifier and subwoofer to any factory
radio! #caraudio #boominsystem #carstereo

Rick Woo says:

Thank you so much. You helped alot

Gam3rsCreed says:

haha in a bmw battery is in the back lol hours saved

Alec Mason says:

You can just skip the converter and strip either one or two RCA cables and
attack the two wires inside to the stock speaker. There may be some
benefits to the RCA converter that I don’t know, but I am using the setup I
described, and it seems to work fine.

cuda861 says:

if you have to watch videos to learn how to install an amp you shouldnt be
doing it. pay for it.

bob says:

+ProvenHelper you seem to be pretty knowledgeable about audio so i was
wondering what kind of amp i should get to push two 12″ comp kickers. now
keep in mind that i am a man on a budget. i dont need top of line the
equipment but i want my subs to thump. thanks in advance

User says:

Yeah dude I just got a sub kit for Christmas and I’m stoked to put it in
and thanks to your video that’s hella fucking informative by the way im
gonna go set it up in a few. Thanks for the vid

LachyPfitznerFilms says:

hi, i am of jewish decent and i have trouble doing stuff.
This video helped me alot to figure out how to wire up my microwave to the
bed.
God bless.

ReplicDemon says:

Can you attach the ground wire to any bare metal piece on the car?

TheDisbubu says:

im doing the sam in my Seat Leon 2008, after im watching this video:)

David Larijani says:

Great video, but you should use wire shrink wrap tubing instead of
electrical tape, it makes for a much cleaner install.

Majed Ashraf says:

and plus you had factory subwoofer in the car? I just got 9inch speakers in
my back shelve?

Majed Ashraf says:

very good I like it but my question is, is there any other way other then
using the LOC converter? then to run my sub?

Gary Hampton says:

You’re wiring tips are a disaster waiting to happen. Ever heard of
connectors or a soldering iron!?

jesus mora says:

Can u do the same to a honda accord 2006

David Kornrumpf II says:

the things we do for bass, every car has it’s own challenges on install,
good job

jerry800 says:

ALWAYS ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL ON THE BATTERY while working
on the car at all times. What a fail. Taping off the power wire? Come on.

ProvenHelper says:

If your amp won’t turn off with the car off, that means you wired the
remote wire to constant power instead of a power source that turns on and
off with the car’s ignition source. Just follow the instructions in the
video and you’ll get it wired right. #caraudio

Abdulai Bangura says:

my amp wont turn off even with the car off

tkopnut says:

Helped a lot. Thanks. Now I have to start this journey lol

ruxsan123 says:

nearest automotive store and it should cost less then $10

DatTriple says:

Can you do without the LOC and just directly connect the tapped subwoofer
to the amp?

Alberto Bautista says:

how do you know which side to put the cable on for the lighter fuse?

A-Mase says:

FIRST OF ALL GREAT VIDEO…BUT THE BEGGINING SOUNDED LIKE A PORNO. AND THE
ONLY SIMPLE THING ABOUT THIS VIDEO WAS GETTING THE BOX FROM UPS. LMAO

Kyle Hardy says:

Like the fuse box an kill switch

Alexander Kristoffersen says:

Love this vid! 🙂 Its like I am right there with you doing this! Awesome
way to show us! 😀 Thanks!

mike dimarco says:

will i be able to use my bass level control on the stock radio to control
the sub level? Im installing my LOC into the back of the radio because i
can not get to a speaker because its a Jeep. or will i have to get a sub
knob?

Jonathan Pallotta says:

Where can I find the fuse and how much is it gonna cost me

Firstname Lastname says:

shut up

Jesus713martin says:

Took him two days to do that come on and who stress him self to take off a
10 mm bolt

Adam Kushner says:

Great video man. DIY-4-Life

ProvenHelper says:

That exactly right brother. Just start plugging away on your project and
I’m sure that you’ll be enjoying the JL massage sooner than you think. All
the LOC does is provide you with RCA jacks so you could hook up that amp.
#caraudio

Cesar Huerta says:

Hi I got Chrysler Sebring 1996 it has amp but I want put other one how do I
do it thank you

SMGBENJI says:

you can use a radio code saver so u don’t lose all your stations.

markjacobs4 says:

Cool vid, very helpful – thanks

Chad Rico says:

Good luck when your car catches on fire. This is a half ass install from an
obvious beginner. If you don’t know what you’re doing, take it to someone
who does. Take the time to learn how electricity and car audio works before
assuming you can make connections to whatever you want. You’re remote
connection is exactly how NOT to do it, unless you’re in the running for
the most ghetto, redneck install award. Educate yourself before you go
trying to educate others.

ProvenHelper says:

Thanks 🙂

ProvenHelper says:

I really don’t think you have to modify anything, especially if you get
yourself a digital amp. The old school amps sometimes required a capacitor,
but the new Class D amps boast higher efficiency, produce less heat, and
draw less current than those traditional Class AB amps. #caraudio

Erik Valles says:

Listen I want to learn more about the killswitch can I just hook it up to
my amp power so I can turn it on and off

rishadneil1996 says:

why not use the rcas from the old amp? or run new ones from the head unit
to the back? rcas give you a cleaner signal than tapping into speaker wires

ProvenHelper says:

#1 you don’t need the kill switch and I hardly use mine. #2 you can buy one
at #RadioShack .

ProvenHelper says:

#Subwoofer plugs into #amplifier to bridge you have to use a dual voice
coil sub or two subs because you will need 4 wires total that connect to
only 2 inputs on the amp. The LOC simply allows you to use RCA cables to
connect to your amp. The LOC connects to any factory speaker, I used my
factory sub but it doesn’t matter what #speaker you connect the LOC to if
you are using the subwoofers for #bass only.
