Just remove the front bumper much easy n much fast to me…
Just to let anyone know, disconnecting your battery on these lexus’s wont wipe your radio memory, they hav an internall battery
how do you remove the washer bottle? anybody know???
Thanks! Also, another issue my friend brought up: Many cars these days detect failures by detecting a change of expected current. Since these kits supposedly use less energy than what your car was designed to give out, would the lexus issue out warning messages while you drive telling you to swap your headlights?
You can do that as well if you don’t want to reset your radio settings. The only caution is that the rest of the vehicle is still live and you will need to be more careful when working around the battery.

brilliant! I’ve been planning to do this. However instead of disconnecting the battery (which is probably the safest thing to do if you will be dealing with a 20,000V ballast box), is it equally safe to just disconnect the fuse on the headlamps? I don’t want to disrupt the memory system in any way.
Bumper removal is not required but does make mounting the ballast easier. The Lexus wheel wells can be partially removed to access the fog lights as well as mount them. It takes more patience to perform the installation, but with a Slim ballast and the zip ties included in our kits, you will be able to mount them in usually an hour from start to finish.

Bought the 3000k HID kit for the Foglights. Any suggestions for the mounting point of those Ballasts? I’ve pretty much read that removing the front bumper is necessary for install? Is that right? Thanks.
Your Factory HIDs have an AFS Module that auto levels your headlights when you turn on your car. your lights will move on their own up and down when the car starts and that should tell you if you have HID. Also, you will notice that HIDs take a few seconds to warm u to the correct color temperature. If your lights start off a blueish hazy color and warm up to white wheny you turn them on, you have HID.
I am assuming your installation went well? Thank you for the positive feedback!!
great video! 10+++++, easy to follow appreciate this, good job!
Good, Thanks a lot. I am going to do this tomorrow morning.
The Lexus does not require a audio security code when the battery is disconnected. You will however lose radio presets.
Hi there.
After reconnecting the car battery, is everything reset? Like bluetooth, radio presets, phone book and so on. Or is there a security code that i have to enter? I never had to disconnect the battery before, so I am very curious.
Thanks alot and great video.
Regular HID kits come with a 3 year warranty, build quality is still superb. the Premiums have a slightly better cutoff and better light dispersion as the quality control in the manufacturing process is tighter. The Premiums are meant more for the vehicles with Projector headlights like the lexus. but, i use some returned standard bulbs in my own vehicle and they have done very nicely over the years. FYI Premiums come with a stellar 5 year replacement warranty.
You do not need to remove the driver side housing to get access to the headlight. just remove the windshield washer fluid tube and there should be enough space.
Great video, super detailed and easy to follow.
No. There are no CEL’s or light out warnings with the XenonSupply kits.
Was there anything such as a check light in the dash after the install?
